Last night, after watching MLB Hour, I left the television on and found myself watching a program in which travelers who could play the piano sat down, one after another, at a piano placed in an airport in Sicily and played.
These people were a remarkably diverse and talented group…from high school students to music producers…and, moreover, they played the piano very well.
Making programs like this is precisely what NHK should be doing, rather than joining the Asahi Shimbun in attacking the administration, broadcasting anti-nuclear reporting, and reporting on Unit 731 as though under the influence of operations by Chinese intelligence agencies…they invoke the term “public broadcasting” as though it were an indulgence absolving them of their sins…but in substance, it is Japan’s state broadcaster…and it uses the public airwaves for childish and foolish biased reporting…
They persistently repeat freeze-frame shots and use elementary propaganda techniques involving so-called subliminal effects, while on watch9…they manipulate impressions through a two-person school play that discerning viewers say is “too pathetic to bear watching, so I don’t watch it”…
The man delivers speeches in a shrill voice, with the air of an outdated union activist; his reporting from TEPCO’s site in Fukushima, for example, was truly appalling.
He expressed his opposition to nuclear power to the fullest through his tone of voice.
In a shrill voice pitched abnormally high from beginning to end.

How should the Senkaku Islands be defended?
Without saying a single word about such matters as what kind of defense system, or what kind of posture to deter them from attacking, must be established in response to hostile states—China and those on the Korean Peninsula—aiming their missiles at Japan…
Broadcasting “truly appalling anti-administration propaganda” is absolutely not what NHK should be doing.
