The Chinese Communist Party Is the Cause of the Pandemic: The Worldwide Pursuit of Responsibility and Compensation Claims
This article introduces an essay by Yukihiro Hasegawa published in Hanada, discussing the Chinese Communist Party’s responsibility for concealing the coronavirus outbreak, the actions of Senator Josh Hawley and others in the U.S. Congress, compensation estimates by a British think tank, and the worldwide pursuit of responsibility against China.

Why do television media such as NHK not report at all the world facts that are clear in this article?
As for NHK, to which I have referred many times, there is in the first place the closeness shown by the fact that CCTV is located inside its headquarters in Shibuya.
The following is a continuation of the essay by Mr. Yukihiro Hasegawa, published in this month’s issue of Hanada, a monthly magazine that is required reading not only for the Japanese people but for people all over the world, under the title “The ‘Compensation Hell’ Awaiting China.”
Why do television media such as NHK not report at all the world facts that are clear in this article?
This proves how deeply they are under Chinese operations, and it proves that China is now working furiously on Japanese television media, political operators of opposition parties such as the Constitutional Democratic Party of Japan, their sympathizers such as the Japan Federation of Bar Associations, and so-called citizens’ groups.
As for NHK, to which I have referred many times, there is in the first place the closeness shown by the fact that CCTV is located inside its headquarters in Shibuya.
In particular, as for Arima of Watch 9, his comments up to now clearly prove that China has been giving him intense guidance.
At the same time, this essay contains, in particular, one hundred percent of the 5W1H, the basics for anyone involved in reporting, which television media have completely lost.
In other words, this essay is a genuine essay.
On the other hand, newspapers such as Asahi Shimbun and television media such as NHK are reporting precisely fake news.
For whose sake?
It goes without saying that it is for China.
Emphases in the text other than headings are mine.
The Cause of the Pandemic Is the CCP
Why pursue and denounce China’s responsibility?
The aforementioned Senator Hawley contributed an essay to the March 30 opinion section of the electronic edition of Fox News in the United States, and explained it concisely.
This is precisely the core of the issue, but it cannot be said that such a sense of the issue is widely shared in Japan.
Therefore, in order to organize the problem, I would like to introduce his argument, though it will be somewhat long.
〈The Chinese Communist Party is responsible for the pandemic of the new coronavirus.
They know it.
That is why they have begun a propaganda war in the United States and everywhere else in the world in order to deflect criticism of themselves.
Now is the time to begin an international investigation into Beijing’s response.
And it is time to pay the price for the hundreds of thousands of lives taken and the billions of dollars in damage suffered as a result of lies.
The Chinese Communist Party did everything to hide the cause of the pandemic.
It interrogated and punished Chinese doctors who issued warnings.
They stopped virus testing and ordered samples to be destroyed.
And they crushed evidence that the virus was transmitted among humans.
By the time they shared information with the world, the virus had already spread to other countries.
The decisions of the Chinese Communist Party turned a regional disease into a global pandemic.
They refused entry to American experts, allowed the virus to slip across borders, and deprived us of the time to defend ourselves.
Now the Chinese government is afraid.
While saying that it responded to the virus outbreak “transparently and effectively,” the fact that the opposite is true is becoming clearer day by day.
Beijing is trying to make the world believe in them and become dependent on them.
*It has succeeded 100 percent with Japanese television media, beginning with NHK*
Chinese officials are beginning to chant that the virus came not from Wuhan but “from the United States or Italy.”
China says that it “bought time for the world to prepare for the coronavirus.”
And it claims that “it was the United States and other countries that wasted that time.”
It is an utterly outrageous lie.
The time has come to make China fulfill its accountability for the catastrophe it caused.
The first step is an “international investigation.”
I have submitted a resolution to the Senate calling for an investigation into what role Beijing’s mistaken response played in the pandemic.
What did the Chinese Communist Party know, and when did it know it?
How did the decision to conceal the facts spread the virus and obstruct the defenses of the United States and other countries?
We need to know that accurately.
There is no need for the Chinese Communist Party to cooperate with the investigation.
In any case, the truth will become clear.
If they cooperate, we will understand how their lies led to the pandemic.
If not, their actions should naturally reveal the truth.
If Beijing handled the situation transparently, as it says, there is nothing to hide.
Conversely, if it refuses to cooperate, “they have something to hide”; in other words, the Chinese Communist Party itself is the cause of the pandemic.
The next stage is payment of the price.
I am calling on the international community to quantify the catastrophe caused by the Chinese Communist Party and to devise a method for making it compensate for the damage.
The Chinese Communist Party cannot restore families to their original state, nor can it bring back lost jobs.
But it can ease the pain.
That will be achieved by making clear, through an international investigation, the crimes that China committed against the world.〉
The Identification of the Virus’s Origin Is Advancing
It is truly clear.
Such arguments are now becoming the common understanding of the international community.
*Why is it that only television media, beginning with NHK, are outside the common understanding of the international community? For the readers of this column, the reason is unnecessary, but I will say it for readers all over the world. It is the result of guidance from the Chinese Embassy to each station. The news divisions of Japanese television are nests of agents of China and Korea, and the Japan Federation of Bar Associations, so-called cultural figures, so-called citizens’ groups, and newspapers such as Asahi Shimbun that act in concert with them are the only bad part of Japan and Japan’s grave defect*
Before becoming a senator, Senator Hawley was an attorney in Missouri.
He is not some ordinary anti-China activist.
Nor is Senator Hawley alone.
In the House of Representatives, Representative Elise Stefanik, Republican, took the lead and submitted a similar bipartisan resolution together with Democratic members.
In Britain, the foreign-policy think tank the Henry Jackson Society released a report on April 5, estimating that the new coronavirus had caused “the Group of Seven major countries, the United States, Britain, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, and Canada, to suffer 3.2 trillion pounds, about 430 trillion yen, in damage.”
On top of that, it argued that “China should pay Britain 351 billion pounds, about 47 trillion yen, in compensation.”
In India, Australia, Brazil, and Egypt as well, voices demanding massive damages from China are growing.
The aforementioned Mr. Klayman is also cooperating with legal professionals in Argentina, India, Turkey, Poland, and other countries, supporting lawsuits in each country.
A “China encirclement network” concerning the new coronavirus is being built.
*The attitude in which Japanese television media, beginning with NHK, opposition parties such as the Constitutional Democratic Party of Japan, the Japan Federation of Bar Associations, so-called cultural figures, and so-called citizens’ groups have not raised a single voice is what should be called bizarre. Yet, like the naked king, the Wuhan virus has exposed in broad daylight that all of them are China’s running dogs and are under Chinese operations*
The crimes China committed may not stop at concealment.
The new coronavirus may not have occurred naturally; someone in China may have accidentally leaked it.
At first, bats said to have been traded at the Huanan Seafood Market in Wuhan were suspected as the source.
But now, the “seafood market theory” is wavering.
The February 27 edition of the Sankei Shimbun reported that “a Chinese government-affiliated research institution presented analysis results showing that ‘the virus flowed into the market from another region.’”
A paper published in January in the British medical journal The Lancet by doctors in Wuhan also pointed out that “of the first 41 confirmed infected patients, 14 had no connection with the market. The bats in question were not traded at the market either.”
The more plausible theory is the leak theory from two laboratories.
In Wuhan, there are two laboratories: the Wuhan Institute of Virology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Wuhan Center for Disease Control and Prevention.
The former is about 12 kilometers from the seafood market, while the latter is only 280 meters away.
Professor Xiao Botao of South China University of Technology contributed a paper to a website for researchers, and while avoiding identifying the laboratory, pointed out that “someone was involved in the outbreak and evolution of the new coronavirus. The laboratories in Wuhan were not only the source of natural genetic recombination and intermediate hosts, but perhaps also the source of the murderous new coronavirus.”
Immediately afterward, the paper was deleted, and the professor himself disappeared from view.
Professor Richard Ebright of Rutgers University commented in the April 3 edition of the American newspaper the Washington Post that “a laboratory accident, for example a staff member accidentally becoming infected, could occur.”
In the April 2 edition of the American media outlet The Daily Caller, when asked, “Do you think the virus leaked from the Wuhan Institute of Virology?” the professor answered, “Yes.”
The work of identifying the origin will continue vigorously throughout the world.
Even if the leak was an accident, the place of origin was Wuhan, and as shown by the Chinese authorities’ dismissal of the officials responsible for Wuhan and Hubei Province, as long as the fact of concealment remains unmoved, it is clear that China bears responsibility.
