China’s Manipulation of Infection Figures and Its Ambitions for 5G and the Digital Yuan—And the NHK and Asahi Shimbun That Still Abet Its Lies
The Chinese Communist regime manipulated COVID-19 infection figures to restart its economy while seeking control over global data and financial flows through 5G, the National Intelligence Law, and the digital yuan. This chapter also questions the responsibility of Japanese legacy media, including NHK and The Asahi Shimbun, for continuing to abet China’s falsehoods.

China’s Manipulation of Infection Figures and Its Ambitions for 5G and the Digital Yuan—And the NHK and Asahi Shimbun That Still Abet Its Lies

Why China Is Reducing Its Infection Figures
Sakurai
Shall we discuss specifically what China is doing now?
Yaita
The first confirmed case of the Wuhan virus was identified on December 8, 2019, but for approximately 45 days, from then until January 23, China concealed information and did almost nothing.
As a result, the infection spread throughout the world.
On January 23, China was no longer able to conceal the situation and released the information once.
Recently, however, it has begun concealing information again.
It has begun telling lies.
*It is not only that television broadcasters such as NHK and newspapers such as The Asahi Shimbun have abetted China’s lies in the past; they are still abetting them now*
The reason is that China cannot afford to remain unable to resume production and allow its economic activity to grind to a halt.
It cannot afford to have workers fail to return to the factories.
It also cannot afford to have no workers available for farming and sowing seeds.
For that reason, since February 17, the infection figures announced by the Chinese government have declined in a remarkably orderly manner.
The number of new infections announced today, February 28, 2020, has finally fallen into the 300s, making it lower than the figure for South Korea.
Sakurai
That is extremely strange.
China has already officially announced 80,000 infections, so how can the number of new infections be only around 300?
Yaita
Unless tests are conducted, the number of infections cannot be known.
For example, if hospitals are told that they may test only ten people that day and tests are continually postponed, the number of newly confirmed infections will decline.
China is now putting migrant workers on special trains free of charge and forcibly bringing them back from rural areas to the factories.
However, once production resumes and people work together in crowded conditions, infections should naturally begin spreading again.
The Chinese government, however, conceals those figures.
According to a study by the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, or CCDC, released by the Chinese authorities, the fatality rate was 2.3 percent as of February 17, 2020.
The Xi Jinping regime therefore probably thinks that even if all 100 people contract the virus, only two of them will die.
Sakurai
Suppose one million workers are sent back to production sites and begin working on production lines.
If even some of them are infected, the virus will spread.
If half of them become infected, a fatality rate of 2.3 percent could result in deaths numbering around 10,000.
Likewise, if five million workers are sent back, 50,000 could die, and if ten million are sent back, 100,000 could die.
Yaita
The total number of workers in China’s coastal regions is said to be between 400 million and 500 million.
That would mean deaths on the scale of ten million, but a dictatorship is capable of deciding that such deaths are unavoidable.
What concerns it more is the possibility of the economy coming to a halt.
The leaders themselves, however, are afraid of becoming infected, so they postpone the National People’s Congress.
They think only of themselves.
Those are the leaders of the Chinese Communist Party.
Hosokawa
China’s values are also a problem in relation to the 5G issue that we discussed earlier.
5G is a communications standard and a means of transmitting and receiving information.
What matters is the information and data carried over it and who controls them.
Whoever controls the data can control any country.
In 2017, China enacted a law called the National Intelligence Law.
Under this law, companies and individuals must provide information to the Communist Party regime whenever requested to do so.
Therefore, no matter how often Huawei’s CEO says that the company will not provide information to the Communist Party, under this law there is no knowing when or in what form the data obtained by Huawei could be seized by the Communist Party regime in Beijing.
The problem is that 5G is spreading within this structure.
Sakurai
That is extremely frightening.
Yaita
Speaking of frightening developments, President Xi Jinping is now placing great emphasis on the digital yuan.
China intends to issue something resembling a cryptocurrency and use it to grasp the flow of data and money throughout the world.
It intends to defeat the United States and reign over the world.
The reality is that China is steadily advancing a wide range of initiatives under such a vision.
To be continued.
