This article criticizes NHK’s news coverage, its use of Ian Bremmer as a commentator, and Chiaki Kamakura’s declaration that she places the individual above the state. While rereading the chapter I published on May 11, 2020, titled “The news footage showing residents of an Italian city leaning out from their balconies, expressing their gratitude to China and singing the Chinese national anthem, was entirely fabricated,” I noticed something.
I have inserted that point between the two asterisks.
Few Japanese citizens would dispute that NHK is, in substance, Japan’s state-run broadcasting organization.
Likewise, few Japanese citizens would dispute that its news program, News Watch 9, is one of NHK’s principal news programs.
The world is now being struck by the greatest catastrophe since the end of the war.
Yet what is extremely strange about the response of the Japanese media and certain Japanese politicians is that they continue to see no evil, hear no evil and speak no evil concerning the fact—obvious even to an elementary school pupil—that this catastrophe originated from the Wuhan Institute of Virology in China.
This is not a problem confined to Japan.
For some reason, there are countless pro-China politicians and scholars throughout the world.
Yet, when discussing this catastrophe, the president of NHK gives a man like Arima a position resembling that of a judge and permits him to select guests at his own discretion.
Whenever an opportunity arises, Arima brings out a youngster such as Ian Bremmer.
Ian Bremmer is presumably a supporter of the Democratic Party and one of the foremost anti-Trump figures.
Many discerning people must remember that, when Trump was elected, Bremmer appeared as though the world were coming to an end and made comments at NHK’s request.
I would like to say something to Maeda, who is now the president of NHK.
However, that would probably be pointless, because he, too, is presumably one of the children of the Asahi Shimbun who grew up reading that newspaper.
Therefore, I want to say this to the Japanese people.
If NHK is, in substance, Japan’s state-run broadcasting organization, then, if it truly wishes to have people discuss the future of the world, is it not obliged at the very least to connect the leaders of the G6 online for a conference, or interview them individually, one by one, and report their views to the Japanese people?
How much longer do you intend to permit such arbitrary conduct—allowing a man like Arima to select someone such as Ian Bremmer and have him speak?
NHK is always declaring that it is a public broadcaster.
If that is so, Arima, who is nothing more than an employee, must not be permitted arbitrarily to appoint a private citizen who merely happens to be a Democratic Party supporter and one of the standard-bearers of the anti-Trump movement, and then allow him to speak at length about such foolishness as placing the individual above the state—foolishness that would delight the stupid political operators of the Constitutional Democratic Party of Japan.
We must no longer permit attempts to brainwash the Japanese people in this manner.
Recently, Chiaki Kamakura presented a continuing NHK BS1 series in which she asked intellectuals from around the world about the coronavirus.
On the day when the commentator was Emmanuel Todd, she declared at the end of the program, quite explicitly, “I place the individual above the state.”
NHK permits a person with such beliefs to present a program about the world amid the coronavirus catastrophe.
When dealing with the coronavirus catastrophe, in what country anywhere in the world could individuals possibly have responded by themselves?
The stupidity of NHK’s employees is extraordinary.
NHK is an organization whose news division is dominated by people who discuss politics and diplomacy with minds that, without exaggeration, remain trapped in the brainwashing imposed by GHQ.
That is why the organization produces people such as Eriko Ikeda, one of the organizers of the Women’s International War Crimes Tribunal.
If NHK is Japan’s state-run broadcaster, its first duty should be to ask the prime ministers and presidents of the G6, in the manner described above.
That statement is made, of course, on the premise that NHK intends to seek opinions from other people and from citizens of other countries.
It is entirely abnormal for Arima and Ian Bremmer, neither of whom possesses any such public authority, to discuss the future of the world on the principal news program of Japan’s state-run broadcasting organization.
Judged according to the standard of “public broadcasting,” a term they constantly use, this can never be permitted.
It is elementary-school-level common sense that NHK should first ask Macron, Merkel, Johnson, Shinzo Abe, Trudeau and Trump.
Worst of all, Arima and Bremmer completely lack the perspective of questioning the legitimacy of the Chinese Communist Party’s dictatorship, how long that system can continue, or whether it might collapse within the next few years.
What was the Wuhan virus?
Why did it produce such a catastrophe?
Above all, they entirely lack the perspective that China bears responsibility.
China itself is desperately disseminating false propaganda so that it will not face claims for damages from around the world for its own grave errors—although China would undoubtedly make such claims if the positions were reversed.
The conduct of these two men and China’s propaganda are two sides of the same coin.
Among the people currently appearing as commentators on television news programs, only Takita of TV Tokyo’s WBS is genuinely reasonable.
That is probably because he is one of the extremely few people who have not fallen into a Chinese honey trap, or a South Korean money trap or honey trap.
He alone shows no deference toward China.
Last night, Takita showed two examples while reporting that China’s lies were beginning to become an issue in Europe and the United States.
The first footage was something even I had never seen before.
The news footage China distributed throughout the world when it sent a medical team to Italy had been fabricated.
The footage supposedly showed residents of an Italian city leaning out from their balconies, expressing their gratitude to China and singing the Chinese national anthem.
That news footage was entirely fabricated.
The second example was an exclusive report by a Financial Times journalist that this column introduced on the very day it was published in the Nikkei.
It concerned an outrageous piece of propaganda sent by the Chinese consul general in Michigan to the speaker of the Wisconsin State Assembly.
Behind Arima’s decision to bring out Ian Bremmer and engage in the outrageous, arbitrary use of the public airwaves, there must have been an urgent need to conceal, for China’s benefit, the facts disclosed by Takita of the Nikkei.
Ian Bremmer is presumably a man in the same circumstances as Arima.
Naturally, tonight’s News Watch 9 will not report any of the footage shown by WBS last night.
Nor has it reported the Wisconsin case at any point up to the present.
What it continues to broadcast, day after day, is the Chinese Communist Party line that President Trump’s attacks on China over the Wuhan virus are motivated by calculations concerning the presidential election.
In other words, NHK continues to report in accordance with instructions from CCTV, which has an office inside NHK headquarters, and from the Chinese Embassy in Moto-Azabu.
The Chinese-manufactured footage set in an Italian city, which WBS broadcast last night, was the first report of this news that I had encountered in any of the newspapers I subscribe to or television programs I watch.
A short while ago, I searched online and found the following article, which contains the footage and an account of what happened.
The added sound in this footage reminded me of the video fabricated by South Korea during the South Korean military radar-lock incident several years ago.
China, the Greater China, and South Korea, the Lesser China, have perfectly demonstrated that they are countries of unfathomable evil and plausible-sounding lies.

Concerning the CCP virus, also known as the novel coronavirus, the Chinese government has intensified its manipulation of information.
Several Italian media organizations have pointed out that the claim made by Chinese Foreign Ministry spokespeople—that Italians sang the Chinese national anthem in gratitude for medical supplies provided by China—was fabricated.

On March 15, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying cited a People’s Daily report and wrote on Twitter, “The Chinese national anthem is being played in Rome. Italians shouted, ‘Thank you, China.’ We are companions who share both hardship and happiness.”
Zhao Lijian, who had recently taken up his position as spokesman in February, posted a similar tweet accompanied by footage from Italy.
The Italian media outlet Money.it analyzed the video and pointed out that the people standing on the balconies did not say the words attributed to them.
Although they were applauding, the Chinese national anthem had been edited into the footage afterward.
The local media outlet Linkiesta also cited the Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson’s post and reported, “The Italian foreign minister and other cabinet ministers must make China stop spreading fake news.”
In an editorial, the newspaper Il Foglio stated that China had recently been urging Italy to purchase additional masks and ventilators.
Regarding China’s plan to send experts who had handled the initial response to the outbreak, it further stated that this was “political propaganda” and “Beijing’s propaganda—the export of a ‘Chinese global model’ for fighting infectious disease.”
On overseas social-media sites and through the media, the Chinese Communist Party regime has promoted the claims that the origin of the virus is unknown and that China’s response deserves praise.
Regarding this, even the left-leaning American media organization CNN reported that “the Chinese government has begun a propaganda campaign intended to cast doubt on the origin of the CCP virus, which has infected tens of thousands of people.”
On the 12th, spokesman Zhao Lijian wrote on Twitter, “The outbreak of the CCP virus did not necessarily begin in China,” and, “The US military brought it here. The United States owes us an explanation.”
In response, Republican members of the US Congress criticized Zhao as a “clown” and dismissed his allegation that the US military had brought the virus to China.
On the 17th, US President Trump used the expression “Chinese virus,” stating that the United States would strongly support airlines and other companies affected by the “Chinese virus.”
Secretary of State Pompeo also explicitly stated that he would call it the “Wuhan virus,” rather than COVID-19, a term that by itself does not identify its origin.

Given these images, there is no conceivable way that sound could have been recorded live.
It is fake at its very worst.
The Italian government is being pushed around at will by the Chinese Communist Party.
Can it not even say what needs to be said?
Even after seeing this propaganda, do people still fail to understand that the Chinese Communist Party and the Nazis belong in the same category?
(Sorry. Nazi devotees might tell me not to equate them with people like this. Certainly, the Nazis were more reasonable. The CCP is not human; it is the devil itself.)
