National Defense in the Internet Age: The Greatest Library and the Greatest Criminal Space
This essay argues that the internet is both humanity’s greatest library and a growing arena for cybercrime and hostile state activities.
It calls for urgent reform of law enforcement and the establishment of strict systems to combat digital wrongdoing worldwide.
It is to establish a system that thoroughly cracks down on and punishes the nations and individuals who commit wrongdoing within the space called the Internet.

Nanohana must be in season now.
Recently I have frequently bought nanohana and boiled it, but by my own intuition I had been boiling it in rolling water for about three minutes.
Freshly boiled it was still acceptable, but the portion kept in the refrigerator somehow did not stimulate my appetite… it was not tasty.
On a whim I searched online for how to boil nanohana.
A recipe appeared instantly.
It said that 30 seconds was enough.
It had been overboiled, and that was why it was not tasty at all.
I promptly boiled it according to the recipe, and the difference was like night and day.
The reason I write this is to convey the correctness of what I have said many times—that the Internet is the greatest library in human history.
And to state that what prosecutors and police around the world must now devote the most effort to is building a system that thoroughly cracks down on and punishes the nations and individuals committing wrongdoing within this Internet space.
Both the police and prosecutors have already entered an abnormal situation in which they must urgently update themselves.
It is an undeniable fact that many recent crimes making headlines, including murder cases, involve social media.
When I first saw a man named Takano Hajime on “Asa Made Nama TV,” I wondered why such a person was there.
At the bar of the ANA Hotel in Kitashinchi, which I used to frequent, I twice found myself seated next to a table where he and Ryoko Ozawa were talking.
The conversations I overheard were always about collusion among general contractors.
The other day, when I searched Takano Hajime, I learned for the first time that he was the son of Takano, who once dominated Sohyo.
I see—so that is why he appeared on “Asa Made Nama TV” and wrote the Democratic Party’s platform… the absolute patron of the Democratic Party was Sohyo.
If the son of the boss wrote the platform, it would naturally curry even more favor from Sohyo.
Yet such a party and such figures as Takano…
Japan’s general contractors, which the nation proudly presents to the world, must constantly perform construction at the highest technical standards required by each era’s social conditions.
These general contractors, a collective of the finest talents in architecture, engineering, civil works, bridges, and excavation, devised bid coordination as a method to simultaneously achieve perfect technical performance and profit as private enterprises.
Because I had continued to write this, I recently realized it.
The entire world knows the excellence of Japan’s general contractors.
It is no exaggeration to say that general contractors are the group and organization that most effectively conveys the excellence of Japan and the Japanese people to the world.
As I stated when I first emerged, Japan’s outstanding salaried workers are modern-day samurai.
They too, like my lifelong friends in trading companies, are modern samurai.
On the other hand, what about those who work in media institutions such as the Asahi Shimbun and NHK?
Are the members of the Tokyo District Public Prosecutors Office Special Investigation Department—who undoubtedly take their arguments as intellectual guidance—truly modern samurai working for Japan and its people?
Rather than samurai, were they in fact parasites within the lion, harmful to Japan and its citizens?
Or is it not an exaggeration to say they lie within the grasp of China or the Korean Peninsula?
The following is yesterday’s article from the Sankei Shimbun.
Targeting heavily defended Israel.
Is a hacker group studying infrastructure attacks?
A North Korean hacker group has been found to have launched cyberattacks against the Israel Electric Corporation (IEC).
No actual damage has been confirmed, but a company executive described them as “very high-level attacks.”
North Korea is believed to be studying methods to break strong defenses by attacking Israel, which possesses some of the world’s most advanced cyber defense technologies.
There are growing concerns that its enhanced attack capabilities could inflict fatal damage on critical infrastructure in Japan, the United States, and elsewhere.
