Voters Must Recognize Their Responsibility. The Simplest Way to Resist Biased Media.

This essay argues that political dysfunction cannot be blamed solely on the media or labor unions.
Ultimately, voters who continue to elect such politicians must take responsibility.
It calls on citizens to cancel subscriptions to biased newspapers, stop watching distorted television reporting, and participate seriously in elections as the first step toward improving society.

February 16, 2019.
If you read newspapers that continue to produce strange or distorted reporting, cancel your subscription to those newspapers.
If you watch television that continues such reporting, stop watching it.
The following continues from the previous chapter.
Those who should be blamed are the voters.
Of course, the fact that a worthless party such as the Constitutional Democratic Party stands as the largest opposition party in the House of Representatives is something we Japanese citizens must take very seriously.
Various explanations may be offered for this situation.
Some say the media are to blame because they engage in biased reporting.
Others say labor unions or Rengo are responsible.
However, none of these explanations are sufficient.
Ultimately, the voters who continue to send such “human liabilities” to the House of Representatives must be the ones who bear the real responsibility.
When I write such things, I sometimes receive criticism saying that “criticizing voters themselves is a denial of democracy.”
If you wish to make such criticism, please feel free to do so.
Even so, I still wish to say this.
“No matter how worthless a piece of human trash that member of parliament may be, the voters who sent him to the Diet are even more culpable.”
Finally, I would like to make my usual request.
Nothing improves overnight.
However, if voters properly awaken to their responsibility, things can gradually improve.
That is precisely why, even though it may seem modest, I wish to continue repeating this appeal.
If you read newspapers that continue strange reporting, cancel them.
If you watch television that continues such reporting, stop watching it.
And please go and vote properly in elections.
If you agree, I ask you to cooperate with this effort.
Thank you very much.
