Beautiful Japan — Kanazawa in Light | Dallapiccola Tartiniana Seconda (Violin Masterpiece)

A visual work composed of photographs taken in Kanazawa.
The background music used is the violin work Tartiniana Seconda by the Italian composer Luigi Dallapiccola, one of the representative composers of twentieth-century Italy.
This piece, inspired by the music of the great Baroque violinist Giuseppe Tartini, is regarded as one of the masterpieces of twentieth-century violin music.
The film is composed of photographs taken in Kanazawa on May 2, 2025.
Although the performance duration of the music is about ten minutes, the visual sequence extends to approximately twelve minutes in order to preserve the lingering atmosphere of the work.
On February 26, 2026, Sayaka Shoji performed this work at Izumi Hall, leaving a historic and remarkable interpretation.
