The foolishness of the United States had reached its extreme, continuing to say truly absurd things such as that the Nanjing Massacre was a historical fact, led by the New York Times, and even treating Japan as a criminal nation while favoring China.
This was something that happened when I was having dinner in Umeda with a friend who is an avid reader.
He began talking about a program he had watched the other day after watching NHK’s weather forecast.
It was about China’s “Sea Turtle Strategy,” which the Chinese government is promoting nationwide.
Talented students are sent to top American universities, then employed by leading companies to acquire the most advanced knowledge and technology before returning to China to start businesses.
It is a strategy strongly backed by Xi Jinping.
Each of them is handled one-on-one.
A dedicated staff member of the opposite sex is assigned to them.
When I heard that, I immediately said, “That’s a honey trap against their own citizens.”
They are typical bespectacled students.
Because they grew up under the one-child policy, they have little experience dealing with the opposite sex.
When told, “Let’s exchange contact information for future purposes,” the cherry boy eagerly leans forward and says, “Yes, yes.”
At one point I said,
“America is foolish too… letting in so many Chinese students only to have their technology stolen… Harvard would still be Harvard even without admitting Chinese students.”
