This chapter argues that the Asahi Shimbun’s reporting on the comfort women issue not only worsened Japan–South Korea relations, but also gravely damaged the truth and honor of Japan and of all those who fought as Japanese soldiers in the century of war.
It sharply denounces the structure by which South Korea’s anti-Japan education and propaganda, together with Asahi’s postwar ideology, distorted the reality of the Japanese military and spread that distortion to the world.

Following the article by an Asahi reporter that I wrote about the other day.
This time, Tetsuya Hakoda, in charge of international editorials.

In a serialized column written by a reporter.

Even from only a quick reading.
At its abnormality.
My jaw dropped.
So long as the Asahi Shimbun.
Cannot properly recognize that it is they themselves who worsened Japan–South Korea relations.
They ought not speak about Japan–South Korea relations at all.

Proves that the term by which I first defined them in the world.

That the anti-Japan education South Korea has continued since Syngman Rhee is Nazism itself.
The Asahi Shimbun has not once ever called South Korea to account for it.
To begin with, they are truly abnormal.
When South Korea remained under military regimes, the Syngman Rhee regime, the Park Chung-hee regime, and then the Chun Doo-hwan regime.
Asahi did not deal with South Korea at all.
On the contrary.
It praised North Korea.
As though it were a paradise on earth.

Probably proof that Asahi.
Was a newspaper company dominated by people intoxicated with the Comintern and Marxism.
But when the reality of North Korea began to come to light.
And South Korea began moving from military dictatorship to civilian rule.
They then began taking a posture of complete attachment to South Korea.

The truth is probably that the Asahi Shimbun.
Became the greatest target of South Korea’s anti-Japan propaganda strategy.
It seems Asahi is held in peculiar esteem in South Korea.
Naturally, the people at Asahi, far from disliking that, would feel goodwill toward those who show them respect, or appear to show them respect, which is only natural human feeling.
At that point.
Asahi.
Had already, in effect, fallen into.
The national strategy and intelligence operations of the South Korean government.
To paraphrase the phrase by Jiro Yamaguchi, a scholar whom Asahi has praised, when he cursed Prime Minister Abe, one would say, “You are already South Korea’s.”
The reporter who wrote this article.
Does not even realize.
That they have never once corrected South Korea’s Nazism.
Nor, beyond that.
That as the natural result, they have never once corrected South Korea.
Which has made anti-Japan propaganda into state strategy.
On the contrary.
They are convinced that attacking the government of Japan is the role of a news organization.
And they continue proving that the Asahi Shimbun.
Is the finest honor student of the brainwashing imposed by the occupation forces.
The Asahi Shimbun.
Leapt upon the story of a man like Seiji Yoshida, who seemed born in order to tell lies.
For Asahi, that was.
Not only ideal material for attacking the Japanese government, which it regarded as evil.
And the Japanese people, likewise regarded as evil.
It was also ideal material for expressing their sham morality.
Last August, after reporting it sixteen times, they at last held a press conference admitting that it had been false.
But that the apology itself was merely for show.
Can be understood by anyone.
If one reads the reporter’s essay at the beginning.
The shamelessness of the Asahi Shimbun.
Cannot be described as merely ugly.
They are all.
Beings for whom nothing remains but to suffer the torments of Enma, king of hell.
Manifesting and exploiting sham morality to the fullest.
They transformed mere prostitution.
Into something described as intolerable wartime oppression of women’s human rights.
Even now, anywhere in the world, prostitution is openly practiced, and one could say it is all managed prostitution.
I will write about this matter another day.
If one is going to say such things, then they did not even know how to manage prostitution.
That is to say, they lacked any proper philosophy regarding human beings.
For example, the enormous number of incidents committed by Nazi Germany and Soviet soldiers, where nothing existed but distorted ideology.
The number of women raped by them in the regions they invaded is beyond description.
Yet the Asahi Shimbun, which has never made any mention of this fact.
Responding in practical terms.
To the intentions of procurers in South Korea and China.
Has slandered and attacked the Japanese military.
Which, as a military body, managed and guarded brothels.
In truth, it attacked the extremely prudent conduct of the Japanese military.
In a situation where one never knows when one may die.
It is hardly limited to noncommissioned officers.
That one keenly feels there are only men and women in this world.
And that sexual desire arises.
That if a military commander were attacked by the enemy while completely naked in the midst of intercourse, he would stand no chance.

It was only natural for the military to guard brothels as a military matter.

In reality.
Even during war, the Japanese military, which properly maintained discipline.
And which may without exaggeration be called the wisest military in the world.
They turned into a brutal and villainous military and spread that image to the world.
For what purpose, after all.
So that they could insist.
That their childish.
Foolish.
Distorted ideology.
Was correct.
And in so doing.
They damaged the truth and honor.
Of Japan.
And of all Japanese soldiers.
Who fought with determination.
As soldiers of Japan.
