This chapter argues that the Asahi Shimbun, other Japanese mass media, and major foreign media outlets that moved in step with them helped create today’s unstable world by amplifying anti-Japan propaganda and narratives that demean Japan.
It harshly questions their collusion with Chinese and South Korean propaganda, their performative moralism, and the responsibility of commentators who have acted against the divine providence of the “Turntable of Civilization.”
