This chapter argues that what the Japan National Press Club and the Japanese mass media should urgently investigate is not Japan itself, but the actual condition of the United Nations and its human-rights bodies.
Recalling the fiscal crisis the U.N. faced when the United States halted major funding, and the reality that Japan remained one of its largest financial contributors, the author questions why Japan has nevertheless been subjected repeatedly to outrageous human-rights recommendations.
Why does a country as safe, peaceful, and attentive to human dignity as Japan continue to be targeted, while many far graver abuses around the world go unaddressed.
Rather than examining that structure, the Japanese media, led by outlets such as Asahi, travel abroad in search of material to portray Japanese education as inferior.
The chapter insists that this reality is something not only Japan and the Japanese people, but the entire world, must clearly understand and never forget.

If the Japan National Press Club has time to do such things, it should instead go and investigate the United Nations, the U.N. Human Rights Commission, and UNESCO.

When the United States, in exasperation at the intolerable reality of the United Nations…
A reality that, far from helping improve the world or achieve peace for mankind, was in fact obstructing both…
Stopped providing the world’s largest financial contribution necessary to operate the United Nations…
The United Nations was thrown into danger of collapse.
At that time, if my memory is correct, Japan, despite being the country that, after the United States, was by far the largest financial contributor, overwhelmingly surpassing the third-ranked countries and below…
Must have stepped in and provided funding in place of the United States as well.
In other words, is the attitude of the United Nations toward Japan, which has long been the largest financial contributor after the United States, correct, or is it wrong…
And if it is wrong, why…
That is precisely what should be investigated as a matter of urgency.
Or rather, in today’s world, that there is no country more attentive than Japan to human rights and the like…

That is why both its men and women enjoy the longest life expectancy in the world.

It is no exaggeration to say that there is no country other than Japan where women can truly live happily.
This is a truth that anyone who has stayed in Japan for a certain length of time can understand.
And yet, toward that Japan…
While across the world, including among advanced nations and permanent members of the Security Council…
There exist countless countries…
Where women are discriminated against, forced into prostitution, subjected to violence, and raped…
And although many of these are situations requiring urgent attention…
Without issuing any human-rights recommendations at all,
Why is it that the U.N. Human Rights Commission…
Has continued, time and again, to issue outrageous human-rights recommendations against Japan,
And what in fact is the reality behind this…
To examine that very reality…
That is the inspection tour the Japan National Press Club should undertake without delay.
Yet such matters are neglected…
Or not even noticed at all…
And, unbelievably…
In order to write as though Japanese education were inferior to the kind of education now being carried out in Nazi Germany…
Though to begin with, going there with such an intention already reveals an utterly outrageous mode of planning…
They go to Germany.
That this is the true nature of Asahi and the Japanese mass media that follow in its path…
Is something that not only Japan and the Japanese people…
But the world as well must, through this chapter of mine…
