Do Not Trifle with the Japanese People! The Asahi Shimbun Must Publicly Acknowledge Full Responsibility for Its False Comfort Women Reporting

Originally published on May 29, 2019.
This passage criticizes the sarcastic response of Asahi Shimbun reporters to the golf diplomacy between Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and President Donald Trump, as reported by Sankei Shimbun.
The author argues that it is Asahi Shimbun, having damaged the honor of Japan and the Japanese people through its false comfort women reporting, that must first issue a full public correction and apology to the world, and that if it cannot do so, it has no right to interfere in Japan’s politics or diplomacy.

Do not trifle with the Japanese people!
You are not merely no different from the wretches who go on persistently committing evil in society believing they will never be punished in this life, but are beings even lower than they are.

The following is from an article published in today’s Sankei Shimbun under the headline, “Mr. Trump’s ‘Best Day Ever.’”
Omitted: introductory section.
The score was a “state secret.”
Prime Minister Abe, who had been waiting for his arrival, walked up to President Trump and exchanged a handshake with him.
Even from that natural gesture, one could sense the closeness between them.
President Trump got into the cart driven by the Prime Minister and headed toward the clubhouse.
The “Asahi Shimbun Kasumi Club” mocked this on Twitter by saying, “At last, he’s become President Trump’s chauffeur…”
But when the Prime Minister visited the United States, it was President Trump who drove during their golf outing.
That, surely, is what manners toward a guest mean, whether in East or West.
“Great shot!”
When President Trump’s bunker shot landed close to the pin, cheers rose from those around him, and he reportedly seemed highly pleased.
The two leaders played a total of 16 holes over about two and a half hours.
As before, the score remained a “state secret.”
The rest is omitted.

Any discerning person would surely think that the reporters of the Asahi Shimbun are truly an assembly of hopelessly foolish and vile lowlifes, the very image of the lowlifes of the Korean Peninsula.
To begin with, if the reporters of the Asahi Shimbun have time to make remarks that are so unbelievably idiotic, foolish, and base.
Then they must immediately place, in all the world’s major newspapers, full-page explanatory advertisements stating that their comfort women reporting was entirely false, that their president resigned to take responsibility, and that they also held an apology press conference in Japan, together with advertisements apologizing for damaging the honor of Japan and the Japanese people, and corrective statements setting right the falsehoods that the Asahi Shimbun spread throughout international society.
If they cannot do that, then employees of the Asahi Shimbun must never again speak on the politics and diplomacy of Japan.
Write only about health and cooking and the like, and never again speak on Japan’s politics, economy, or diplomacy!
Do not trifle with the Japanese people!
You are not merely no different from the wretches who go on persistently committing evil in society believing they will never be punished in this life, but are beings even lower than they are.
Do not forget that Enma, King of Hell, is waiting for you, having prepared the greatest torment in human history.
