Kyoto 2026/4/3 | A Home Concert with Cherry Blossoms and Blue Sky: Wagner’s Siegfried Idyll, followed by Mozart Piano Concerto No. 23, Second Movement

A little while ago, on Sachio Fujioka’s X account, I learned the program for the Kansai Philharmonic’s regular concert on April 29.
I thought of going to hear it.
But I gave up, because almost all the seats had already been sold.
So I immediately decided to turn it into a home concert, and to listen on my large-screen TV together with my photo collection from April 3, 2026.
At first, it was Wagner’s Siegfried Idyll.
The conductor was Haitink.
The orchestra was the Concertgebouw Orchestra.
But the video itself still had quite a lot of time left.
So, in the second half, I added Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 23, Second Movement.
The performance is by Mitsuko Uchida.
Both recordings are audio sources officially provided on YouTube.
And so I decided to savor the cherry blossoms and blue sky of Kyoto on April 3, 2026, as a home concert on my large-screen TV.
