The Astronomical Losses the Asahi Shimbun Inflicted on Japan: The Complete Contradiction of Pseudo-Moralism and the Philosophy of Noble Poverty
Published on January 31, 2020.
This article argues that the Asahi Shimbun inflicted enormous damage on Japan and the Japanese people not only through reports on the Nanjing Massacre and the so-called comfort women, but also by helping drive Japan into deflation through its “philosophy of noble poverty.”
It also criticizes the contradiction of the Asahi Shimbun’s preaching of noble poverty while turning a blind eye to China’s evils, as well as the falsehood of pseudo-moralism and political correctness.

The Asahi Shimbun inflicted enormous damage on Japan and the Japanese people through various fabricated reports, such as those on the Nanjing Massacre and the so-called comfort women, and it also inflicted astronomical losses in the economic sphere.
The reason why media outlets other than the Sankei Shimbun, as well as politicians and business leaders, take a weak-kneed attitude toward the evil of China, a one-party dictatorship ruled by the Communist Party, is that China presents itself as a country with a population of 1.3 billion and, although no one knows the reality, as the world’s second-largest economic power.
It seems that the Asahi Shimbun described Commander Soleimani, one of Iran’s rulers, as a “man of noble poverty.”
It is no exaggeration to say that I am the only person in Japan who has made clear that it was the Asahi Shimbun that drove Japan into deflation.
At that time too, the Asahi Shimbun brought out the “philosophy of noble poverty.”
At that time, Japan’s GDP was 550 trillion yen, and that of the United States was 750 trillion yen.
Now, more than twenty years have passed since then.
Prime Minister Abe fought with lion-like courage and prevented a catastrophic decline, but even so, Japan’s GDP is not very different from what it was at that time.
Meanwhile, the GDP of the United States is 2,336 trillion yen, calculated at 109 yen to the dollar.
In other words, since then, the American economy has grown more than threefold, while the Japanese economy has only finally returned to where it was more than twenty years ago.
The Asahi Shimbun inflicted enormous damage on Japan and the Japanese people through various fabricated reports, such as those on the Nanjing Massacre and the so-called comfort women, and it also inflicted astronomical losses in the economic sphere.
Now to the main point.
Asahi, if you speak of the philosophy of noble poverty, then your attitude of being dazzled by economic interests, turning a blind eye to China’s many evils, continuing to overlook them, and even continuing to side with them, is a complete contradiction.
If the philosophy of noble poverty is truly Asahi’s philosophy, then Asahi must call not only upon Japan but upon the world to fight China’s many evils through that philosophy of noble poverty.
What does the Asahi Shimbun embody?
It embodies the fact that pseudo-moralism is precisely a lie, and that political correctness and the like are also complete lies.
The same is true of the international community that has acted in concert with the Asahi Shimbun.
