The Historical Role of Japan and the United States — The Turntable of Civilization as Divine Providence and the Global Crisis
January 28, 2026
Centered on the realities of U.S. politics and the markets surrounding President-elect Trump, the responsibility of the Japanese media and the self-denigrating establishment, and the divine providence embodied in the Turntable of Civilization, this essay examines the role that Japan and the United States bear in human history and the global crisis that would result from the loss of that role.
If America completely forgets and Japan is completely controlled by self-denigrators, the world itself—that is, humanity—will not exist

As readers know, I have written about U.S. President-elect Trump with extreme restraint.
The greatest reason, as I have already stated, was that he was a person highly likely to become the next President of the United States—in other words, the candidate whom the Republican Party had ultimately selected.
As readers also know, regarding his provocative remarks, I wrote that he had destroyed in an instant the lie of the non-nuclear myth that had covered Japan for seventy years after the war, and that, rather, he was the greatest trickster of the postwar era.
About ten years ago, when the time to write The Turntable of Civilization had long since passed, but I nevertheless thought that I still had to write it, I realized that I had made no examination at all of the stock market, which is at the very foundation of capitalism.
So, as readers know, I spent several years examining the stock market and afterward completed The Turntable of Civilization.
That is why, at the time, I stated categorically things that not a single person had mentioned.
One of them was that 111 to 112 yen to the dollar was the proper value of the dollar and the yen, and that simply by correcting it, Japan’s great stagnation—which was unnecessary and useless and was a great calamity for the world, and which, it is now a historical fact, created today’s extremely dangerous and unstable world—could be cured.
And yet, even the fact that this very rate was the “purchasing power parity” calculated by the World Bank was something that not one person in the media or among the so-called cultural figures of the time noticed, and they continued saying idiotic things such as that an excessively strong yen was good, thereby continuing to create Japan’s lost twenty years.
As I have already written, they alone were not merely unscathed; in real terms, they increased their incomes and continued to enjoy comfortable lives.
Many of the truly genuine major corporations representing Japan were groaning in agony, and that was driving Japan’s young people to poverty, difficulty finding employment, and difficulty marrying to an almost unbelievable degree, yet they pretended not to notice, while they—the very people who may rightly be called the so-called establishment, a mass of egoism—continued to enjoy the springtime of their lives.
Certain companies that pushed deflation still further, and people who destroyed Japan’s natural opportunity, alongside the United States, to seize hegemony with the arrival of the IT world, reduced the world-class Japanese electrical manufacturers to the status of companies merely producing PC boxes, created countless sufferers, and yet rose to become themselves among the first or second wealthiest asset holders in Japan.
In other words, if one were to identify a flaw in the United States—setting aside altogether the greatness of the American Dream—it would ultimately be that it is a society of inequality; yet even Japanese society, which had previously been entirely unrelated to this American model, produced a small number of corporate managers who themselves created the appearance of such an unequal society.
It goes without saying that Japan miraculously recovered from the devastation of the postwar period and, in a form rooted in the history and culture proper to the nation, became a country that naturally must, alongside the United States, lead the world for the next 170 years, and that the Turntable of Civilization, which is divine providence, therefore turned to Japan.
Even a kindergarten child can understand that this was 100 percent not the result of those people who, while obstructing the progress of this Turntable, became enormously wealthy themselves.
It was simply something that the media such as NHK and Asahi, and the so-called cultural figures who agreed with them, could not understand at all.
There is also no doubt that the very fact that one among such people won the Nobel Prize in Literature and another has been regarded as a candidate is itself one of the causes that created the world as it is today.
Returning to the main subject,
Looking back now, I am almost convinced that here too—in the things that obstructed the progress of the Turntable of Civilization—there was in fact covert activity by the intelligence agencies of South Korea and China; in other words, manipulation of media such as NHK and Asahi and of the so-called cultural figures who agreed with them.
It is no exaggeration to say that immediately before voting day in the presidential election, the only people who thought, contrary to media reporting, that it was completely impossible to know which side would win were myself and an elderly gentleman, one of Osaka’s leading men of wealth, whom I have known for many years.
I thought, especially because I myself had come to think so, that it would not be strange if the American people had also come to believe that it was impossible for newspapers such as The New York Times and The Washington Post always to be right; in other words, I thought it would be stranger to assume that Americans had not sensed that the establishment continued to write biased articles and that what they reported was by no means necessarily the truth.
Or rather, since what I have continued to communicate to the world is not mere show, I felt that it would be stranger to think that Americans had not begun to realize that newspapers such as The New York Times and The Washington Post, like the Asahi Shimbun, had continued to write ignorant, crude, irresponsible things based on distorted ideas, particularly with regard to Japan…because in fact my words should have reached far more people.
That was the feeling I had.
What the elderly gentleman mentioned above and I agreed upon was that the result would remain completely unknowable until the lid was opened, that I believed there was a strong possibility Trump would win, and that in such an event, as an instantaneous reaction against reporting that had said precisely the opposite, the Nikkei Stock Average would probably fall by 1,000 yen in a single day;
but because the United States is absolutely not China—and because there is a 100 percent certainty that the United States will not collapse merely because Trump becomes president—there could absolutely be no great market crash like the one from the end of last year into the beginning of this year that had been caused by concern over China; in other words, that point would be the so-called bottom, after which the market would quickly return to its former level;
and, as I have mentioned many times, nobody in the world can know what China will be like ten years from now, but it is inconceivable to say that nobody in the world can know what the United States will be like ten years from now; on the contrary, everyone in the world knows that ten years from now the United States will still be the United States.
(Because it is no exaggeration to say that if the United States were no longer the United States, that would be the moment when the world itself had disappeared.)
(No matter how much Xi Jinping, with the outrageous ideas of a dictator, attempts to achieve world hegemony, nobody in the world wants one-party dictatorship by the Communist Party…in other words, Xi Jinping is nothing more than the naked emperor.)
The United States, alongside Japan, is a country possessing the world’s highest level of intelligence and freedom, and a country that must lead the world;
and because it is the country that, for the first time in human history, dropped atomic bombs on human beings, it cannot escape this responsibility and, by divine providence, must remain a leader of the world forever.
If the United States forgets this divine providence even a little…
if the situation returns in which Japan is dominated by the Asahi Shimbun and others, and, rather than making Japan strong and great, they behave in a manner that is more accurately described as being manipulated by countries such as South Korea and China…
if they join together with the United Nations, which is controlled by people such as Bokova, who were raised under one-party Communist rule…
and if they continue to diminish and oppress Japan, the world will waver as it does now and enter a dangerous condition.
If America completely forgets and Japan is completely controlled by self-denigrators, the world itself—that is, humanity—will not exist.
The time has long since come for media such as Asahi and NHK, the so-called cultural figures who agree with them, and similar people throughout the world to understand that this is divine providence.
To be continued.
