What happens when “something resembling democracy” begins to wear out?

Quite some time ago, I happened to be watching Asa Made Nama Terebi when a still-young female commentator, now something of a media darling, declared with great vehemence… Perhaps she also felt a need to assert herself because women had long been oppressed.
“These days, people among us say that becoming a politician is a career graveyard. There are plenty of other places where we can earn money…”

Someone who has graduated from the highest institution of learning says such a thing without the slightest doubt… Even in a society that is not divided into hereditary classes, distinctions arise between elites and workers.
Of course, someone who says that merely hearing something a little difficult gives them a headache should not be in a position to deal with politics and the world.
In other words, what happens if the elites whom God gave exceptional minds for precisely such purposes disregard their country, look down on politics, and begin to say that anyone who goes into politics is a fool?
What we have now is what happens.

On whose presence does the life of someone in the elite, assured an annual income of ten million yen or more, depend?
If only the ten percent who are elites were citizens, no kind of business could survive.
And most of them make their living with their mouths or their pens, rather than by working up a sweat.

Where would wealth come from?
Not a single yen would be produced.
How would you get rice to eat?
How would you get fish to eat?
How would you get meat to eat?
How would you get vegetables to eat?
Would you become a farmer, a fisher, or a livestock farmer and produce your own food?

Your role is…
To make it possible for the people who support your life to live securely with their families of four or five—or six or seven, including their grandparents—on an annual income of five million yen, because they do not need an income like yours…
In other words, to bring intellect to politics.
To make politics a gathering of first-rate minds; to analyze the world thoroughly and sharply, without mistaking the truth; and to bring prosperity to the country where you were born.

There is no other reason for elites to exist.
What good does it do if you alone make money?
God did not assure you an annual income of ten million yen or more for that.
