The Hearts of All Good People Are Within Me—Bringing You Kyoto’s Beauty and the Joy of Being Alive
2024/03/22
The hearts of all good people are within me. That is what I will convey to you.
January 25, 2012
I was watching, on a large-screen television, the photographs I took at Tofukuji Temple, Byodoin Temple in Uji, and Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine, which I visited on November 12.
Every one of them is impeccable.
The following day, I visited Daigoji Temple, where I had a very special experience.
The photographs of this temple were impeccable as well.
Publishing hundreds of photographs like these for a monthly fee of 1,500 yen hardly pays (laughs).
The next photograph that appeared was also impeccable, and I wondered where it had been taken.
As I watched and wondered where it was, I realized it was Shimogamo Shrine.
Now photographs of Heian Shrine are on the screen.
The coralberry and the Japanese chloranthus are lovely, too.
The original images look even more magnificent on the large screen, but my photographs are also magnificent when viewed on a computer or a mobile phone (laughs).
I bring you the truth.
I will convey how beautiful it is to be alive. I will bring that beauty to you.
I sincerely hope that the many wonderful people who always read my writing will become my readers.
Now a photograph capturing the miracle at Heian Shrine is on the screen.
It shows the unbelievable sight of the heron that appeared as though saying, “Kisara-san, how are you?”
Later, at Shoseien Garden, its friends Giovanni and Campanella (laughs) showed me their unbelievably majestic forms.
I also went to see the ducks in the canal in front of Heian Shrine.
Now photographs of the coralberry taken at Yamagata Aritomo’s Murin-an are appearing on the screen.
In any case, they are impeccable.
If I say so, you can be sure of it (laughs).
It truly is a beauty that seems beyond this world.
In other words, I am someone like Prince Shotoku (laughs).
As people of later generations said of Prince Shotoku, “A sage recognizes a sage…” (laughs).
The hearts of all good people are within me.
That is what I will convey to you.
First, I would like to bring you these 10,000 photographs.
