“The Turntable of Civilization” Ranked 34th in the World—My Conviction That My Writing Was Reaching the World’s Centres of Power

2010-10-25
About FC2…the founder is an American company, and the president is an American….
After looking it up on Wikipedia, I became convinced.
There were things about this site’s visitor numbers and access counts alone that I found difficult to understand, but when I searched for sites because I wanted as many people as possible to read what I wrote and found goo, at the same time,
I learned that there was a site that measured a site’s power.
If the figure exceeds 2, the site has considerable influence…
I immediately pasted in my URLs on Ameba and goo to check, and neither reached 2.
On FC2, however, the figure easily exceeded 2, reaching 2.7.
What is more, it said that my “The Turntable of Civilization” ranked 34th in the world….
Yet FC2 had the lowest numbers in terms of searches and so forth.
Because I was certain that “The Turntable of Civilization” was reaching the world’s centres of power…
At the time, FC2 had a system that showed which organisations readers belonged to.
This was because people from the ministries in Kasumigaseki, the major corporations of which Japan is justly proud (executives at managerial level and above), most of the well-known national universities, including the University of Tokyo and Kyoto University, and well-known private universities…probably professors…were reading it day after day.
As for the above results on FC2, I thought, that is quite plausible.
I think many of you already know this…but it is said that almost all communications within Japan are decoded by radar at US military bases…and that is why senior government officials never discuss confidential matters on mobile phones.
Yet, during the Futenma issue, someone connected with the government was talking on a mobile phone, and so the United States knew everything Japan was thinking, and so forth.
Blogs must be an ideal means of finding out what the people of a country are thinking.
Understanding Japanese must be a piece of cake for them.
A little while ago, on the day China overtook Japan in GDP, there was a comment in The Wall Street Journal…and I thought…unless they had read my “The Turntable of Civilization”…that is not an expression one would normally use.
Please read it in the chapter I wrote a little while ago about that article.
In the September 8 issue of Newsweek, which I introduced on this occasion…it is Charles Onyango-Obbo, a Ugandan journalist who contributes to publications including the Kenyan weekly The EastAfrican, who points out that “No country has ever achieved global hegemony through economic influence alone.”
When I read this passage, too, I thought that my writing was unquestionably being read.
I am convinced that this is what ranking 34th in the world means.
