On November 8, 2025, China’s Osaka Consul General Xue Jian posted and deleted a violent message on X threatening to “cut off” Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi’s head. Known for his Wolf Warrior diplomacy, Xue has previously declared “Taiwan independence = war” and compared Israel to Nazi Germany. The author states that this incident confirms their belief that China was behind the assassination of former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.

On the night of November 8, 2025, Xue Jian, the Consul General of China in Osaka, posted on X regarding Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi’s Diet remarks about a possible Taiwan contingency, writing, “I will cut off that filthy head of yours without the slightest hesitation,” and later deleted the post.

With an angry-face emoji, he added, “Are you prepared for this?”

Xue’s post was a reaction to an article by Asahi Shimbun Digital titled, “Prime Minister Takaichi: Taiwan contingency ‘could constitute a survival-threatening situation’ if an armed attack occurs.”
The article reported that during the November 7 session of the Lower House Budget Committee, Prime Minister Takaichi cited a Taiwan contingency as a specific example that could fall under a “survival-threatening situation,” allowing Japan to exercise collective self-defense.

Quoting the article, Xue wrote, “If that filthy head of yours sticks out on its own, I will cut it off without a moment’s hesitation. Are you ready for the consequences?”
He also attached an angry emoji.

The post spread rapidly and drew criticism such as, “Given the context, this can only be interpreted as a death threat against Prime Minister Takaichi—extremely malicious.”

In 2021, he also declared, “Taiwan independence = war. Let this be very clear! China has zero room for compromise!!!”

Xue Jian is known as a prime example of China’s aggressive “Wolf Warrior diplomacy.”
He has repeatedly made extreme statements on social media in the past.
In response to his 2021 post on the Taiwan issue, Representative Jin Matsubara criticized him in a Diet written inquiry, calling his remarks “absolutely unacceptable intimidation.”

In June 2025, Xue posted on X equating Nazi Germany with Israel, which drew strong condemnation from Israel’s Ambassador to Japan, Gilad Cohen.

When I saw this man’s statement on the news, I became absolutely convinced that my “long-range view” that China was the mastermind behind the assassination of former Prime Minister Abe had been proven correct.
There is something further that must be made known to the world regarding this matter.
