On November 23, 2025,
I walked through the grounds of Nanzen-ji Temple, from Tenjuan toward Eikando.

This year felt like an exceptional autumn for Nanzen-ji.
With each step, that feeling became more certain.

When I was younger, for a short time,
I lived in a small student lodging run by a sub-temple to the left of Nanzen-ji’s entrance.
The view of the temple grounds from my modest room remains vivid in my memory.

Early morning walks through Nanzen-ji, before the crowds arrived,
were quiet and deeply rewarding.

This short film, lasting 4 minutes and 56 seconds,
was created at the intersection of those memories and the present moment.
