While enjoying life in the world’s safest and most peaceful society, one that has achieved the highest levels of intellect and freedom, they read newspapers such as Asahi Shimbun and Nikkei, which are steeped in distorted and childish ideologies, and end up merely being brainwashed by Asahi and the like.
They make no effort to undertake the study that journalism demands, and in complete lockstep with Asahi Shimbun’s line, they have continued—unbelievably—to write nothing but articles that demean Japan.
These are the members of the Foreign Correspondents’ Club of Japan.
That David Kaye, a figure of the smallest possible caliber, is precisely for that reason an especially dangerous villain.
In substance, he is a serious criminal against truth itself, and a serious criminal against humanity and humankind, a foolish yet consummate evil manipulated by the worst of nations—and the reasons for that manipulation are, as the previous chapter’s essay by Kato Takatoshi aptly reveals, laid bare.
With minds swayed by nothing more than Chinese money, they persist in condemning Japan—an unmistakable mark of their malice.

If even a trace of fear of God remains in you, then go at once, all of you, to China, and denounce China’s suppression of free expression.
I assert that only this, carried out sternly as a matter for the international community, constitutes the true duty of a journalist.
If you cannot even do that, then never again speak of Japan.
