At the United Nations General Assembly currently being held, at a meeting where the issue of refugees became a main agenda item, Prime Minister Abe stated that Japan would provide more than 280 billion yen.
In contrast, China, which continues to speak with a face several times larger than Japan’s in the international community, is providing a mere 30 billion yen.
This has been the same in the past and remains the same now with regard to contributions to the United Nations.
That such a China has come to throw its weight around in the international community owes much, needless to say, to the Asahi Shimbun and the so-called cultural figures who have aligned themselves with it.
