The Responsibility of Voters — Reject Biased Media and Act to Protect Japan

This essay argues that the fundamental responsibility for Japan’s political condition ultimately lies with the voters themselves.
It calls on citizens to reject distorted media narratives by canceling subscriptions to biased newspapers, refusing to watch misleading television programs, and participating responsibly in elections in order to gradually restore a healthy democracy.

If you are reading newspapers that continue to publish distorted reporting, cancel your subscription.
If you are watching television that continues to broadcast distorted reporting, stop watching it.

The following continues from the previous chapter.

◎Those who should be held responsible are the voters.

Of course, there is no doubt that we Japanese citizens must take seriously the fact that a worthless party like the Constitutional Democratic Party stands as the largest opposition party in the House of Representatives.
There may be many explanations for this situation, such as “the media are to blame because they engage in biased reporting,” or “labor unions and the Rengo federation are to blame.”
However, none of these explanations are sufficient.
Ultimately, the voters themselves, who continue to send such “human liabilities” to the House of Representatives, are the ones who should truly be blamed.

When I write such things, I sometimes receive criticism saying, “Criticizing voters themselves is a denial of democracy.”
But if you wish to make such criticisms, please feel free to do so.
Even so, I would still like to say this.

“Even if that member of parliament is nothing more than human trash, the voters who sent that person to the Diet are even more guilty.”

Finally, I would like to make my usual request.
Nothing improves overnight, but if voters become properly aware of their responsibility, things can gradually improve.
That is precisely why, even though it may be modest, I will continue to make this appeal.

If you are reading newspapers that continue to publish distorted reporting, cancel your subscription.
If you are watching television that continues to broadcast distorted reporting, stop watching it.
And be sure to go vote in elections.

If you can agree with this, please cooperate.
Thank you.
