Italy, Do Not Bow to China.—Will You Sell Away the Accumulation of Civilization, or Choose the Path of National Renewal?—

This essay expresses deep disappointment and alarm at Italy’s apparent willingness to move against the EU’s growing efforts to restrain China.
The author condemns China as a state combining “bottomless evil,” “plausible lies,” and the evil of one-party Communist dictatorship, and argues that approaching such a regime would amount to Italy selling off its pride and its accumulated civilizational inheritance.
The essay further contends that domestic idleness, the underground economy, and a lack of proper tax discipline are what obstruct Italy’s renewal, and urges Italians, if they truly love their country, to work for the nation and recover the dignity worthy of a country that stood at the beginning of the Turntable of Civilization.

If your public finances are truly so strained, then for once stop things such as a three-hour siesta at lunchtime…。If you truly love your country, then why not have the entire nation work for the sake of the country for ten or even twenty years?

As my readers know, I love Italy.
And yet I was disappointed and appalled by reports that Italy is on the verge of rebelling against the EU just when the EU has finally begun to recognize the true nature of China and to take measures to restrain it.
Italy, do you truly wish to become a vassal state of a country of “bottomless evil” and “plausible lies”…。
to which is added the evil of one-party Communist dictatorship…。
the greatest human-rights-abusing state in human history?
If your finances are really so strained, then once and for all stop things such as a three-hour siesta at lunchtime…。
If you truly love your country, then why not have the entire nation work for the country for ten or even twenty years?
That is what I had intended to write,
but is present-day Italy…。in a state where many spies have infiltrated it, just as numerous Soviet spies infiltrated Roosevelt’s American administration before the war and steered U.S. policy toward a pro-Soviet, pro-China, anti-Japan course…。
Is that not the case?
When Yoshiko Sakurai…。won the lawsuit brought in a fit of rage by Takashi Uemura, the Italian who picked a quarrel with her at the Foreign Correspondents’ Club was a man who graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Rome and studied at Keio.
I am convinced that this is the man who guided the present policy direction of the Italian government.
In other words, this man must surely be a Chinese spy exactly like Hotsumi Ozaki once was.
He also has thick pipes into the Italian government, exactly as Ozaki did.
To begin with, Italians are a people who live for romance even more than the French, and so they are probably the number one people most susceptible to China’s honey traps.
Italy.
Instead of letting such a Chinese spy carry out activities in Japan to demean Japan, and making your home government move exactly as China intends,
why not first put an end to the idleness of a three-hour siesta…。According to one theory, Italian men will end up divorced unless they make love with their wives three times a day, in the morning, noon, and night.
For the next ten years, for the sake of the country, why not reduce three times to once, only at night, and have the whole nation work seriously?
If you do that, Italy will be revived in no time.
And one more thing…。Perhaps this is another point in which Italy resembles China…。
If you stop the underground economy and all citizens pay taxes properly, as in other advanced countries, especially as in Japan and the United States,
might Italy not revive tomorrow?
Italy.
Have the pride worthy of the country where the Turntable of Civilization began.
What was all the accumulation of culture until now?
Was it something so thin and shallow that, for money, it could so easily be sold away to a country of bottomless evil and plausible lies, with added to it the evil of one-party Communist dictatorship, the greatest human-rights-abusing state in human history?
