This essay, dated March 8, 2019, develops a severe critique of the true nature of the movements surrounding ICAN and Peace Boat, the abnormality of the Nobel Peace Prize being awarded to them, and the reporting posture of Asahi Shimbun and NHK.
It particularly calls attention to Watch 9’s lengthy interview with a Peace Boat representative and to the ties between major media organizations and anti-nuclear, anti-state activist networks, arguing that Japan’s mass media has been complicit with forces acting against the national interest.

But those who belonged to mass media organizations such as Asahi Shimbun and NHK, who went about with self-important airs saying, “We are journalists….”
“We are guardians of democracy, champions of justice….”
And who have made their living as journalists while repeatedly attacking the government….
Ought, of course, to have known these facts.
In other words, Asahi Shimbun, which sided with Kiyomi Tsujimoto….
And brought Yeon Mi-?? no, Sin Sug-ok? into the editorial staff of Shukan Kinyobi, the successor magazine to Asahi Journal, is rotten….
Since, unbelievably, it has been aiding enemies of the nation….
This can be nothing other than proof that they themselves are enemies of the nation and traitors who sell out their country.
NHK is rotten as well, and badly so….
Many readers must surely be nodding in agreement that my description of Arima on Watch 9 as a “union activist” was also correct….
The manner in which Watch 9 deliberately went all the way to the Peace Boat office and conducted a long interview with its representative, a figure whose appearance alone makes those with discernment think, “What is this?”….
It would not be the slightest exaggeration to say that NHK’s news division is completely under the control of North Korean operatives….
