The Distorted View of Japan Dominating NHK News Watch 9: Anger Toward Those Who Keep Diminishing Japan
This passage sharply criticizes the editorial stance of NHK’s News Watch 9, especially the logic of diminishing Japan symbolized by the repeated phrase, “between two great powers.”
It argues that NHK’s persistent refusal to recognize the reality that Japan remains one of the world’s leading economic powers and the largest creditor nation has contributed to instability in both Japan and the wider world.

The way this man, and the 5 percent of people who control Watch 9—or rather, it would be more accurate to say people whose status as genuine Japanese is itself doubtful—perceive Japan truly makes me sick.
I am now half-watching NHK’s Watch 9.
From the very beginning, Arima shamelessly repeated his usual comment once again.
“Between two great powers…”
The way this man, and the 5 percent of people who control Watch 9—or rather, it would be more accurate to say people whose status as genuine Japanese is itself doubtful—perceive Japan truly makes me sick.
…Japan is not at all a country like China, a papier-mâché tiger, a country whose system can hardly be thought sustainable, a country of which, under the theory that a one-party dictatorship lasts only seventy years, it would not be an exaggeration to say that the end of its dictatorial system is near.
Yet those who control NHK, the left-wing infantilists, or rather those who could without exaggeration be called agents of China or the Korean Peninsula, possess none of this utterly ordinary recognition.
They do not recognize the simple facts that Japan is, in substance, still the world’s second great economic superpower…
And that it is the world’s largest creditor nation…
They have no recognition of such simple facts.
The fact that this has continued as Japan’s state broadcaster has obstructed the progress of “The Turntable of Civilization” and has created the unstable and extremely dangerous world of today.
It would be no exaggeration whatsoever to say that these people are the major culprits against peace and stability in Japan and the world.
They call a country like China a great power, yet do not think their own country is even in the slightest a great power.
The foolishness of the Japanese people, who continue to grant such people—as a Japanese state broadcaster, and in substance with the people’s tax money—the highest average salaries in Japan, has reached its extreme.
You who continue to allow such an NHK to survive, continuing to diminish Japan…
Or, in order to disgrace Japan, those who have kept reporting to the United Nations…
NHK, which has continued to collaborate with people who are like the dregs of the Japanese nation…
You who keep allowing it to survive…
Are in fact the very person responsible for creating the extremely unstable and dangerous world of today.
