It was a beautifully clear morning.
I woke before 6:00 a.m. and took a taxi at 6:50 to Genpachi Bridge in Sakuranomiya, Osaka.
The fare was 2,700 yen.
The morning light was exactly what I had hoped for.
The cherry blossoms were slightly past full bloom, yet they were still more than beautiful enough.
The Osaka University rowing team was practicing on the river.
It was a scene perfectly suited to the early hour.
On the way back, I took the Osaka Loop Line to Umeda and photographed Osaka Station in the morning as well.
I believe I captured some very fine photographs there.
This video brings together 239 images of the morning light, the cherry blossoms, the river, the rowing boats, and the atmosphere of Osaka Station.
The music is Grieg’s Morning Mood from Peer Gynt Suite No. 1, followed by Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 23.
