They are only good at self-deprecating Japan and making flatters for China or being manipulated by China.
The following is a rough draft.
This morning, I woke up earlier than I had planned and read the Nikkei Shimbun for the first time in a while.
I had been watching TV Tokyo’s WBS and Nikkei News 10, both subsidiaries of Nikkei, thinking that they were much better than NHK’s watch9.
However, as I have already mentioned, most actors are no better than NHK, and the degree to which China is manipulating them is no different.
The only exception was Yoichi Takita. He is one of the real journalists.
TV TOKYO is foolish enough to use Naomi Trauden as the Japanese version of Greta Thunberg.
The Suga cabinet’s selection of Naomi Trauden as a member of something private was not only the height of stupidity; it was a folly that will lead the nation to bankruptcy.
For some reason, the LDP makes stupid choices from time to time.
Or the way Nikkei News 10 uses Akira Ikegami, etc., instead of a foreigner whose brain is built on Asahi editorials.
The decisive factor that made me stop watching the programs was that when they reorganized the above two programs by moving up their broadcast time slots, the host Oe announced that he would invite a massive name as the first guest. As expected, Masayoshi Son made a big appearance.
At the end of the program, the interview content was reported as a scoop, and there was no moderation to the extent that the Softbank side made negative comments.
It is an absolute insult to the journalist.
In the end, the decisive factor was undaunted by the scandals mentioned above; the media widely reported that Softbank’s financial results for March had surpassed those of GAFA, becoming (as I recall) the third-largest in the world.
I wrote that there must have been many people who bought Softbank’s stock and lost a lot of money because of that report.
Since then, I have hardly watched the show.
I used to watch Oe, the anchor, because I thought she was much better than NHK’s make-believe or even pretended to be innocent, but my opinion of her has dropped by half, and I have lost interest in watching her.
What kind of newspaper is the Nikkei?
It wrote today’s editorial in such a way as to make it seem as if there was nothing wrong, but in the end, it showed its true colors.
It is undeniable that the Nikkei, following the lead of the Asahi and other newspapers, has been saying that we should learn from Germany.
One of the proofs of this is that when the corona disaster struck last year, WBS ran a unique feature on a woman named Bando, who is a mass of masochistic view of history and has nothing but brains as per the Asahi Shimbun’s editorial.
She never mentioned the astronomically low number of infections and deaths in Japan compared to Europe and the United States and praised Merkel for criticizing the Abe administration. The woman also praised the female prime minister of New Zealand to camouflage her excessive praise for Germany and disdain for Japan.
In today’s editorial, however, the editorialist, oblivious that it has completely failed as a journalist, nonchalantly concludes, “The strains of long-term government…” etc.
It is evident that Merkel had been in power for 16 years, and the chancellor before her had been in power for a similarly long period.
In other words, Germany has chosen the ultra-long-term government of the CDU for almost the entire postwar period.
Although they have never written anything like the above about Germany, they have written about Japan.
The author of Nikkei, who grew up reading the Asahi Shimbun’s editorials, blindly followed the Asahi and wrote the above against the Abe administration, which lasted only eight years.
I guess the people in Nikkei don’t realize that their brains are no better than kindergarten children and are failures as journalists.
They criticize Japan with the brains of elementary school children who do not know that the biggest reason for Germany’s growing presence in Europe and the world is the ultra-long term government under the CDU and the resulting ultra-stable domestic politics.
They are only good at self-deprecating Japan and making flatters for China or being manipulated by China.
These are the brains of the editorial board members of the Nikkei Shimbun.
