Sakuranomiya and Osaka Station 2026/4/8 | Listening to Elgar’s Enigma Variations on a Clear Early Morning | A Home Concert
I will go to hear the Osaka Philharmonic’s subscription concert on April 11.
I am creating this work in order to prepare for the entire program of that day as a home concert.
The final work on that program is Elgar’s Enigma Variations, Op. 36.
The April 11 subscription concert of the Osaka Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra will be held at Festival Hall, conducted by Tadaaki Otaka, and the program consists of Hisatada Otaka’s Symphony No. 1, Op. 35, Delius-Beecham’s Intermezzo “The Walk to the Paradise Garden” from A Village Romeo and Juliet, and finally Elgar’s Enigma Variations, Op. 36.
As preparation for that concert, I will hold a home concert together with my photo collection of Sakuranomiya and Osaka Station, taken in the clear early morning of April 8, 2026.
The recording I used is the performance by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, publicly available on YouTube.
People all over the world as well, please join the April 11 Osaka Philharmonic subscription concert at Festival Hall, conducted by Tadaaki Otaka, as members of the audience through this home concert.
