What I Saw in NHK Watch9: A Media Culture Harsh Toward the Nation and Lenient Toward Its Own

The author reflects on a comment made by Arima on NHK Watch9, connecting it to GHQ occupation policy, Chinese Communist brainwashing methods, and the nature of Japanese media organizations such as Asahi and NHK, criticizing a media culture that is severe toward the nation while indulgent toward its own members.
July 18, 2019.
In inverse proportion to the stern faces and severe comments they direct at the nation while siding with the opposition parties, the fawning expressions they show when calling on their own people, and the fawning manner of their exchanges with those insiders, are unbearable to watch.
Genuine intellectuals who never appear in Asahi or NHK and the like have taught us that when GHQ occupied Japan, it referred to the Chinese Communist Party’s brainwashing education of Japanese military prisoners.
In other words…they brainwashed the prisoners into turning against their own country by using the logic that the people were not bad, and that what was bad was the government, namely the nation.
If the Chinese Communist Party, or Mao Zedong, had known the truth about Japan at that time, would they not have brainwashed them by saying that the people were not bad, the nation was not bad either, and what was bad was the newspapers and NHK?…of course, the truth was probably that they knew this and, on that basis, plotted to brainwash the prisoners into becoming spies for the Chinese Communist Party, to alienate the nation and the people from one another, and to cause a people’s revolution.
This morning, I realized this because I felt an intense sense of incongruity toward Arima’s comment on last night’s Watch9.
Probably not a single viewer other than myself noticed that his comment came from the nature of NHK, the nature of Asahi, Mainichi, Tokyo Shimbun, Chunichi Shimbun, and the nature of their television stations.
He calmly said the following.
(Referring to the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare statistics problem) Such things occur frequently….
I thought to myself…wait a minute.
Is Japan such a careless country?
That is not so.
On the contrary, is it not the most wonderful country in the world?
Moreover, it is a uniquely tolerant, bottomlessly peace-loving, perhaps prayer-chanting, country that even allows foreigners, especially Chinese, to use its health insurance; a country with the world’s most diligent and serious people, the world’s finest craftsmanship, a country that continues to produce the world’s finest products, a country with the world’s safest food and the world’s most delicious cuisine…a country with restaurants serving delicious food from every possible cuisine.
That is Japan, and there is no other Japan anywhere.
It is NHK’s own employees whose scandals occur frequently, and it is NHK that frequently produces biased program reporting and impression manipulation by people under Chinese or Soviet operations.
This article continues.
Postscript.
I am now convinced that Watch9, which may be called NHK’s flagship program, is hosted by a man who is nothing more than an NHK employee…that is, a person who receives a high salary from the taxes of the Japanese people…yet calls himself an anchor and repeatedly makes comments with the face of someone who imagines himself to be an omniscient and omnipotent god, a man of justice.
His style is that of a man performing a picture-card show in which he teaches the foolish Kuwako sitting next to him…as if she represented the foolish people.
He is undoubtedly a person who came up through the NHK labor union…at the very least, someone with labor union experience, and must also have had deep connections with Jichiro, Nikkyoso, and the like.
All of his comments side with the opposition parties…regarding the oddness of what the opposition parties are saying, or rather…is that really what should be discussed now?
Is national security policy not the urgent issue?
Is that precisely why constitutional revision is necessary?
Is it acceptable to leave the Self-Defense Forces in a state of unconstitutionality?
Is it acceptable for a country to rely on the Self-Defense Forces only at times of disaster?
As all viewers know, he has never once commented on such matters.
As is generally the case with worthless organizations, in inverse proportion to the stern faces and severe comments they direct at the nation while siding with the opposition parties, the fawning expressions they show when calling on their own people, and the fawning manner of their exchanges with those insiders, are unbearable to watch.
In general, worthless people almost always take such a form.
That is to say, they are lenient toward their own and harsh toward those outside…if they were truly a group of journalists, they would be strict precisely toward their own and would direct a spirit of tolerance toward those outside.
