South Korea as an Anti-Japanese Truth-Cult State — Sixty-Five Years of Brainwashing Education and the Fiction of Japan–South Korea Friendship
Published on August 3, 2019.
This essay criticizes the structure of South Korean history education, which, in the author’s view, depicts Japan as “absolute evil” and South Korea as an “absolute victim.”
The author argues that anti-Japanese education since Syngman Rhee has implanted “false memories” in South Korean society and distorted the very premise of Japan–South Korea friendship.
It calls for South Korea’s history textbooks to be rewritten in accordance with historical facts as the starting point for a true relationship between Japan and South Korea.

South Korea is an abnormal country that has continued, as a state, for sixty-five years to carry out brainwashing education that implants hatred and prejudice toward a specific people.
The following is the continuation of the previous chapter.
This is equivalent to “brutal Japanese” propaganda exceeding the “brutal Americans and British” propaganda that Japan proclaimed during the war.
The Japan–South Korea relationship depicted by South Korean history education is, so to speak, one of “100 percent perpetrator and 100 percent victim,” and of “absolute evil and absolute justice.”
It has become a cheap story of rewarding good and punishing evil, just the sort that a false hero would seem likely to devise.
Because Syngman Rhee obtained dictatorial power as the first president, this fiction truly became a founding myth, and because that brainwashing has continued until today, even ordinary South Koreans have become spiritually united with this counterfeit.
South Korea is an abnormal country that has continued, as a state, for sixty-five years to carry out brainwashing education that implants hatred and prejudice toward a specific people.
Moreover, it tries to force on Japanese people, under the name of “correct historical understanding,” a counterfeit that is contrary to fact.
Because the entire country believes something that is not scientifically or objectively factual, this has already entered the realm of “faith.”
In other words, one should think that on this earth, in addition to Christian countries, Islamic countries, and Buddhist countries, there exists a fourth kind: an “Anti-Japanese Truth-Cult State.”
South Korea is a single cult organization.
Therefore, any Japanese person who says with a straight face that South Korea is a friendly country or a partner that shares the same values is either extremely ignorant, a foolishly good-natured person, or an agent-type person.
The fact is that it is the most unfriendly country, and a country with different values.
Those pro-Korean people, or should I say subservient-to-Korea people, are now flustered by South Korea’s “sudden” anti-Japanese behavior, saying things like, “Japan and South Korea should have been getting along until now,” or “They are only clashing at the level of politicians and governments, and after a while we should be able to return to the former friendly relationship.”
This is precisely what is meant by “there is no medicine for fools.”
South Korea was originally this kind of country, and the reason it has now begun picking fights one after another is simply that, because of changes in the situation, it no longer needs to hide its true nature.
To begin with, there is a large gap between the Japan–South Korea friendship imagined by Japanese people and the one imagined by South Koreans.
Japanese people literally imagine an “equal friendship.”
However, among South Koreans, the relationship is premised on “100 percent perpetrator and 100 percent victim,” and therefore, when they use the words “friendship” or “cooperation,” the meaning included is that “Japanese people should fully understand their own position as perpetrators.”
In other words, it means “devote yourselves to the victims.”
Therefore, whether Japan and South Korea need to reconcile is a separate question, but believing that such reconciliation can be achieved is too naïve.
Personal exchanges and dialogue between Japanese and South Koreans should certainly be promoted, but one must not place excessive expectations on their effects.
That is exactly like leaving the mother body that continues laying alien eggs in the rear while defeating only the individual creatures that attack on the front line.
For such efforts to become truly effective, the mother body, namely anti-Japanese brainwashing education for children, must first be defeated.
However, although it is extremely mistaken, a country’s education is ultimately an internal political matter.
If it can be reformed, only South Koreans can do it.
As for that possibility, I cannot say anything definite.
However, in the end, it is an unscientific occultism that treats a counterfeit as “legitimate.”
If the light of truth is shone upon it, falsehood will gradually dissolve.
However, in one sense, that is equivalent to the “collapse of the national polity” of the Republic of Korea.
That is why the government fears historical truth, effectively controls freedom of thought and speech, and even silences people.
Seen from another angle, that can also be taken as “desperate resistance.”
On the other hand, is the attitude Japan should take not clear?
First, Japan should demand: “Rewrite your history textbooks in accordance with the facts.”
At this point, internal affairs are no longer an excuse.
South Korea has until now implanted hatred and prejudice toward Japan in its children, while at the political level pretending to be a friend and partner.
It can also be said that, through such split-personality diplomacy, South Korea deceived Japan and used it skillfully.
Perhaps inwardly, they were sticking out their tongues, thinking, “It is easy to take the Japanese for a ride.”
However, from now on, a deceptive posture toward Japan will no longer work, in which South Korea outwardly glosses things over by saying “Japan and South Korea should cooperate with each other” or “we do not really dislike Japan,” while behind the scenes, through public education, it proclaims that Japan is a demon.
Japan will no longer fall for that trick.
There is no future for South Koreans who do not face the truth of history.
First, the root must be corrected.
The discussion begins after that.
