It Is the Chinese People Themselves Who Will Free China: Steve Bannon on the Essence of Democracy

Referring to Steve Bannon’s essay in Monthly Hanada, this article argues that China will not be freed by the world, but by the Chinese people themselves. It discusses democracy, voting rights, political accountability, leaders who represent the voices of citizens, and the possibility that the Chinese people will one day win their own freedom.

When China becomes free someday, it will not be because the world has freed China.
The Chinese people themselves will overthrow the wicked.
The following is a continuation of Steve Bannon’s essay published in Monthly Hanada, a magazine that must be read not only by all Japanese people but by people throughout the world, under the title “The Chinese Communist Party Is Dangerous to Humanity.”
I will convey it as much as possible to people around the world through my English translation.
In particular, I will immediately make it known to the ignorant and benighted people of Indonesia, who, as I learned from the news the other night, are committing the outrageous act of attacking us Japanese as “coronavirus.”
Emphasis in the text, other than headings, is mine.
The essence of democracy.
People wake up and appeal to politicians.
People must act.
We have the right to vote.
We have democracy.
Politicians have accountability.
The power of one person is small, but when everyone gathers together, it becomes a great force.
Once the fire is lit, it spreads throughout the world.
When China becomes free someday, it will not be because the world has freed China.
The Chinese people themselves will overthrow the wicked.
They will obtain the right to vote, and all Chinese politicians will be held accountable.
There is no magical solution in the West, either.
Even Rosemary’s book was suppressed.
The vested interests did not want to touch it.
But now a crisis is occurring.
The situation is changing.
Change can be brought about through the power of democracy.
The power of one person is small.
That is why President Trump is popular.
He listens to the voices of the right.
Bernie Sanders and AOC, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the 30-year-old female member of the House of Representatives, are also popular.
They listen to the voices of the left.
This movement is taking place all over the world.
Bolsonaro in Brazil, Salvini in Italy, Modi in India, Abe in Japan, Le Pen in France, and Nigel Farage of Brexit in Britain.
Why?
Because they represent the voices of citizens.
Someday, when China becomes free and becomes a democratic nation, that may not be a cure-all.
But it will be hundreds of times better than living as slaves of the Chinese Communist Party.
As individual citizens, we should fight for our own rights.
That is the essence of democracy.
To be continued.
