This is my photographic work of Umeda, Osaka, set to Prokofiev’s Classical Symphony performed by the NHK Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Nodoka Okisawa.
This work consists of 103 photographs taken in just thirty minutes before 11 a.m. on the morning of May 30, 2026, under a completely cloudless blue sky.
It is not often that Umeda, the very heart of Osaka, reveals itself with such brightness, clarity, and lightness.
The lines of the buildings, the blue of the sky, the reflections of light, and the presence of people moving through the city all formed the vivid beauty that only Umeda on a perfectly clear day can possess.

The music is Prokofiev’s Classical Symphony, performed by the NHK Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Nodoka Okisawa.
I believe this performance is one of the historic masterpieces of our time.
It is lucid, youthful, lively, exquisitely refined, and filled throughout with unmistakable dignity.
Its transparency and vitality seemed to merge naturally with the blue sky, brilliant light, and sharply defined urban landscape of Umeda on that morning.

The video length is 16 minutes and 21 seconds. The 103 photographs are arranged in accordance with the flow of the music.
