The National Wealth Built by Working People and “Japan’s Pure Heart” — For the Country I Love Dearly

2010-10-25
Something to be done now, while 500 trillion yen still remains available out of more than 1,400 trillion yen in precious national wealth… personal assets, the fruits of the labour of those who came before us and demonstrated a noble spirit of hard work after the war, and, for example, of the forty years that I and all of you worked like workhorses.
Except for those outrageous people involved in television broadcasting and the like, I am convinced that there is no one in our country who is unwilling to work by the sweat of their brow.
On the contrary, it is a country overflowing with young people and citizens who are eager to work.
That, I believe, is the truth about Japan, the country I love dearly.
Borrowing the words of the one man… particularly in recent years… who has continued to sing songs that speak to the world, I call this “Japan’s Pure Heart.”
Now that it has become clear who has continued to sully this “Japan’s Pure Heart,” the time has come.
Why has such a state of affairs persisted even more than sixty years after the war?
To make that clear, God gave me the mind I have already described.
Although this was entirely unplanned, I, too, am considering writing it all in the book whose publication I envisage for next May… in keeping with the present moment.
If there is anyone at a publishing house who feels that my aspirations are worthy… who feels that they would like many people throughout Japan to read this… and who thinks, “I have the power to make that happen,” please send me a message.
