United Nations, COP25, Greta Thunberg—Open Your Eyes and Take a Good Look: China’s Air Pollution and Questions for the International Community
2020-1-30
In Japan today, there is not a single location where environmental standards are exceeded.
United Nations, COP25, Greta Thunberg—open your eyes and take a good look.
This is the truth of the world.
Look at this reality, which even a kindergarten child can understand, before you speak.
Know that you are among the most malicious people manipulated by Chinese propaganda.
The other day, a friend expressed his anger at the WHO’s half-hearted and timid response to the new pneumonia originating in China.
He was angry, saying that this was clear proof that the majority of international organizations are controlled by China.
At the same time, he said that he felt the utmost contempt for those described as the international community.
Today’s air pollution map clearly shows that South Korea, too, is a country with severe air pollution—that is, a country emitting what they call global warming gases.
Recently, when South Korea complained to China that its severe air pollution was China’s fault, it was confronted with some form of evidence that the pollution originated in South Korea itself, and it withdrew sheepishly.
Today’s air pollution map vividly illustrates that fact.
As I have already mentioned, when COP25 was held, an NHK news program gleefully broadcast footage of South Koreans outside the venue displaying the Japanese flag and identifying Japan as the number-one culprit in air pollution—that is, the emissions of global warming gases to which they refer.
This month’s issue of Hanada, one of the monthly magazines that I continue to describe as essential reading for every Japanese citizen who can read, contains a painstaking article by Fumiaki Yamazaki entitled “The True Nature of VANK, South Korea’s Largest Anti-Japanese Organization,” which explains in detail the reality of their “Discount Japan” campaign, conducted internationally to undermine Japan’s standing.
This air pollution map also exposes the baseness of an international community that so readily goes along with South Korea’s despicable campaign.
Therefore, the Japanese people must recognize that the United Nations and the international community are contemptible and intellectually deficient, and must use facts to demolish every instance of South Korea’s and China’s “bottomless evil” and “plausible lies.”
We must not merely wait for the demise of those who control the reporting divisions of the Asahi Shimbun and NHK, who have sided with them, or of the so-called citizens’ groups, so-called human rights lawyers, and opposition political hacks.
We must set the United Nations and the world right.
In other words, we must point out the foolishness of the United Nations and the international community, dominated by China, South Korea, anti-Japanese left-wing organizations, and others, and continue confronting them with the facts.
These are facts that citizens who merely subscribe to newspapers such as the Asahi Shimbun and watch NHK will never be able to learn.
Every month, the four monthly magazines of which Japan can be proud before the world are filled with painstaking articles exposing such facts.
The other day, I was truly appalled while watching NHK’s news.
It was because that Greta Thunberg had come even to the Davos conference.
It would probably be more accurate to say that she had been brought even to the Davos conference.
Greta Thunberg, if you are truly worried about global warming, instead of spending your time trying to cast President Trump as the villain at Davos, behaving as though you were an agent of China,
go to China immediately and ascertain why the conditions shown below have persisted for more than twenty years.
Of course, the same applies to the so-called citizens’ groups and media figures who have become agents of China and are using her.
Those who control NHK’s reporting division, employees who call themselves news anchors, and NHK staff who are, in reality, national civil servants of Japan must also go to China immediately and investigate why the conditions shown below have persisted for more than twenty years.
If you want to say that you oppose nuclear power or the restarting of nuclear reactors, go to China immediately, investigate, and only then say so.
Even under these conditions, China’s air pollution levels—that is, its emissions of global warming gases—have fallen sharply to one-fifth of what they were during the more than twenty years leading up to 2018.
The reason is certainly not an increase in renewable energy such as solar power.
In the first half of 2019, state-of-the-art nuclear power plants of both French and Japanese-American designs were completed and began operating, and as a result, nuclear power’s share of total electricity generation rose to several tens of percent…because the closure of substandard coal-fired power plants progressed.
Yet China remains an overwhelmingly large emitter of global warming gases, still possessing more than 1,200 coal-fired power units, many of them with substandard equipment.
The United States, in second place, has more than 200.
The United Nations, COP25, and Greta Thunberg all seem unaware that the equipment at China’s coal-fired power plants is inadequate.
The standard of equipment at China’s thermal power plants cannot possibly be compared with that of Japan’s ultra-high-performance coal-fired power plants equipped with Japanese-made, ultra-high-performance exhaust-gas purification systems.
China has not invested funds in these coal-fired power plants, whose number is by far the largest in the world, to drastically reduce carbon dioxide emissions as Japan has.
Yet it has continued to pour enormous sums into military expansion, including nuclear weapons, in its attempt to seize global hegemony under an evil ideology.
This is not something that began yesterday or today.
It has been this way throughout the past twenty-plus years.
The United Nations and COP25 have continued to overlook the reality of China for more than twenty years.
Even now, for some reason, the United Nations, COP25, Greta Thunberg, and others have not uttered a single word of criticism against China.
The same is true of Japan’s Asahi Shimbun and NHK.
And yet they say such things as “This is a crisis for the planet, a crisis for humanity,” and ultimately even go so far as to say, “Japan is the culprit.”
