The other day, I had a delightful revelation about my TV’s untapped potential that I had been overlooking for a long time.
A few years ago, I wanted to watch all the games of each professional baseball team in Japan.
So I decided to watch them on multiple TVs.
As I was already a fan of Nagashima and the Giants, as I mentioned above, I was utterly fed up with the way the games were played, like high school baseball, and the way the media referred to the team by the name of the manager, such as “manager’s name Giants,” and the way the manager was the most prominent.
In contrast, I watched Major League Baseball games every day.
I watched almost all of Ohtani’s games.

Now, about the beginning of this article.
Suddenly, the big-screen TV became a big-screen TV.
The picture quality was also completely different.
The TV suddenly became as big as the screen.
4K also started to look like it was supposed to.
With the technological advancements, everything became more comfortable, creating a cozy TV environment.
The current TV environment is the result of technological progress.
I first became aware of this comfort.
When Tsutaya appeared, I was a leading movie buff.
I had seen almost all of the “movies that should be seen and movies that are worth seeing” that Tsutaya had to offer.

Regrettably, Hollywood’s shift towards pandering to China’s market left me disheartened and disinterested in their productions.
I stopped watching movies almost wholly.
The reason for this is that, to put it bluntly, Hollywood movies after that were rubbish.
Watching such things is a waste of time in life.
If they spend so much money making such things, it would be better to use that money to help people experiencing poverty.

The other night, I watched a movie from before Hollywood started to curry favor with China.
I was impressed.
After that, I stayed up past bedtime to watch a movie about Cyndi Lauper.
After all, her two signature songs were some of my go-to songs when I had to sing karaoke.
It was another good movie.
Earlier, in between working on this column… that is, in between our work, I watched a biographical film about Bob Marley.
When he was at his best, he came to Osaka as part of a world tour.
The venue was the Festival Hall.
My good friend said that it was a once-in-a-lifetime concert.
We’d never see a concert like that again.
I watched this film with a profound feeling.
As I have already mentioned, the turntable of civilization is divine providence.
That is why I have been writing free of charge for Japan and the world almost every day since I appeared on July 16th, 2010.

Just now, NHK reported that Lotte had approved Sasaki’s transfer to the Major Leagues.
It was a refreshing report following Trump’s clear landslide victory, which made things like the Biden jump impossible.
Ohtani, Yamamoto, and Sasaki, along with the Dodgers, are a trio of the world’s best pitchers that Japan can be proud of, and they will continue to be the best team in history.
From next year onwards, our mornings will be the best.
