Among the films of Pasolini, one of the truly historic and great directors, it left the strongest impression on me.
That impression remains with me even now.
It is no exaggeration to say that it is his greatest masterpiece.
Tonight, I was greatly surprised.
I remembered having once recorded and watched “Maria Callas: Living and Loving for the Art” (2008), perhaps on WOWOW or some other channel.
I watched it in 4K high-definition for the first time, fully concentrating.
It was truly excellent.
And I was astonished.
