The One Duty Asahi Shimbun Must Fulfill and the Empty Arrogance of a Pseudo-Elite Journalist

This article condemns Asahi Shimbun for its failure to take responsibility for spreading false reports on the comfort women issue, criticizes its role in shaping anti-Japanese sentiment in South Korea, and exposes the hollow arrogance of a former Nikkei journalist now at Asahi as a symbol of Japan’s pseudo-elite class.

What Asahi Shimbun must do above all else right now is to place a full-page advertisement in every major South Korean newspaper to convey the truth. That the so-called comfort women issue is a false story that Asahi Shimbun leapt upon the lies of a man named Seiji Yoshida in order to attack Japan, publishing more than a dozen major feature articles and spreading those false reports throughout the world. And one more thing: it must also make South Korea understand that the anti-Japanese education which is nothing less than Nazism itself must be stopped immediately. The result of Asahi Shimbun’s failure to do what it should do and its continuation of what it must never do is the emergence of the students, including high school students, who gathered in front of the Japanese consulate in Busan. It is no exaggeration at all to say that it is Asahi Shimbun that has turned South Korea into a Nazi-like state. The words and actions of Asahi Shimbun continue to degrade Japan and generate, without cease, the lowest, most vicious criminals who obstruct world peace. Masato Hara, what you should be doing now is not the foolish act of criticizing Prime Minister Abe or the Bank of Japan. If your company will not act, then you yourself should fly to South Korea, convey the truth, and correct them and their country. You seem to regard yourself as a representative elite of Japan, but if that is the case, then doing only that is your true role. However, I thought of something when I searched his career just now. To my surprise, he was a man who had left Nikkei and joined Asahi Shimbun. I became convinced that he is someone who is overexerting himself in order to have Asahi Shimbun acknowledge him as an expert in economics. That arrogant attitude he displayed on television during the G7, and the bluster he continues to maintain even after his own absurdity was exposed. This is an attitude common to the pseudo-elites and pseudo-moralists of Japan. But for the sake of your trivial bluster, the ridiculous conduct of degrading the Japanese nation and inflicting great damage upon it will not be permitted by the law of God known as the “Turntable of Civilization.”
