An Open Letter to Hillary Clinton— On Intelligence, Civilization, and Moral Responsibility —
A critical open letter challenging Hillary Clinton’s remarks on Japan, TPP, and global order, questioning what constitutes genuine intellectual leadership in a civilized world.

To Hillary Clinton,
I never imagined that your intellect could be this poor.
At the same time, however, I came to understand something clearly: that you are not regarded as a first-rate, genuine intellect in the United States.
For if you were truly a first-rate and authentic intellect, you could not possibly utter such ignorant and discriminatory remarks toward Japan—a country in which the Turntable of Civilization, governed by divine providence, is in motion.
A few days ago, I watched a two-hour program on BS Fuji titled Prime News, which focuses on a single issue currently confronting Japan and the world and features opinions from knowledgeable experts.
That day’s theme was the strong yen.
The main guest was a genuine first-rate Japanese intellect—unlike yourself.
He was a man who graduated at the top of his class from Japan’s most prestigious academic institution and then joined the Bank of Japan.
He now serves as the head of a think tank.
What he said was the exact opposite of the truth implied by your second-rate intellect.
“The current appreciation of the yen is a bad appreciation.
This is because, amid sudden turbulence in the global economy, all other currencies are depreciating, while only the Japanese yen is rising.”
Because of the severity of your intellectual shortcomings, you even made outrageous statements opposing the TPP in relation to your own country.
The TPP was an international agreement that a Democratic president—your fellow party member, under whom you served as a key cabinet official—decided upon in good faith for the benefit of his own country and the world.
It was a treaty that nations around the Pacific Rim, which uphold freedom and democracy, deliberately agreed to in order to guide the world toward peace and stability.
Because national interests were deeply intertwined, the negotiations were extremely difficult.
Nevertheless, the world chose agreement in the hope of advancing freedom, democracy, and peace.
Yet toward this agreement as well, just as with your offensive remarks toward Japan—a nation governed by the Turntable of Civilization—you hurled abusive language.
And the reason for this, astonishingly, was your own selfish desire to boost your approval ratings.
This reminded me of the historical fact that prewar Japan, once pro-American, rapidly shifted toward anti-American sentiment following the enactment of U.S. immigration laws.
It is also a historical fact that the Asahi Shimbun stood at the forefront of stirring up anti-American sentiment at that time.
The same Asahi Shimbun gleefully gave prominent coverage to your remarks that defied the divine providence governing civilization, without offering any rebuttal whatsoever.
That the Asahi Shimbun is a newspaper that should be shut down immediately, and that it is a media outlet completely manipulated by the governments and intelligence agencies of China and South Korea, is analogous to the severity of your own failings.
None of this is reflected in the two songs mentioned below.
This is because there is not a single song that should be bestowed upon something as foolish, childish, grotesque, and maliciously treacherous as the reality embodied by the Asahi Shimbun.
Unless, of course, there existed a song composed entirely of insults from beginning to end.
At this point, all I can do is pray that Michael Bloomberg—a man who truly possesses first-rate intellect representing the United States—will become president of a nation that must serve as the world’s leader and global police force.
