This photographic work focuses on Ryōan-ji in Kyoto, filmed on November 30, 2025. The collection consists of 592 images, all taken exclusively at Ryōan-ji, each representing the highest expression of the author’s work to date. As part of the “Kyoto Supreme Autumn Series,” together with works from Kitano Tenmangū Shrine and the Kyoto Imperial Palace filmed on November 23, 2025, it presents Japan’s two-thousand-year devotion to beauty and its civilizational significance to a global audience.

There exists in this world a country called Japan, possessing the highest level of beauty.
There also exists a people who have protected and cherished that beauty for two thousand years.
That is why the Turntable of Civilization now turns from the United States to Japan.
If the United States and Japan do not lead the world together for the next 170 years, it is no exaggeration to say that the world will face destruction.
This work is a point-of-arrival expression born from the interaction between the author’s intelligence and sensibility and the world’s highest-class camera, the SONY α1, and stands as an apex of art.
