同時に、この大災害で亡くなった人々の死は決して犬死にではなく、日本人に「文明のターンテーブル」が廻った国としての使命を自覚させるためのものだと論じる。
さらに、原発報道の混乱とそれを招いた執行部の責任を厳しく追及し、東京電力本来の技術力が政治的混乱によって妨げられたのではないかと記している。

The author renews his criticism that 51 trillion yen in market capitalization was wiped out from companies listed on the First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange in just two days after the disaster, illustrating the scale by comparing it with South Korea’s GDP.
At the same time, he argues that the deaths caused by this catastrophe were by no means meaningless, but should awaken Japan to its mission as a nation toward which “The Turntable of Civilization” has turned.
He also sharply pursues the responsibility of the leadership for the confusion surrounding nuclear reporting, suggesting that TEPCO’s original technical competence may have been obstructed by political disorder.

韓国のＧＤＰは約100兆円のはず、と書きましたが、現在の円・ドルで換算しますと、約81兆円です。
つまり、韓国のＧＤＰの62%にあたる額を、わずか2日間で、パーにしたのですよ。現在の政権は。
どれほどの阿呆かという話ではありませんか？…元々、即時、退陣すべき状況にあったものが、今回の大災害で救われた様な執行部に、
国が救える、守れる訳はないのです。
だから、私は、結局、こんな執行部を作った者たちを決して許さないし、今回の、天変地異は、この20年超、わたし達の国に横行していた、おためごかしなものの、全てを吹き飛ばすために、在ったんだと私は思う。
丁度、60数年前に、死んだ約400万人の人たちの様に、今回、死んだ人たち…その中には、私の母親も含まれているのですが…の、死は、60数年前と同じで、決して犬死にではないのです。
今回は、愚かなマスコミ、それに追従して来た者達、そして度し難い痴呆テレビ…これらの、「下品」、に染まって、自分たちの国の役割…「文明のターンテーブル」が廻った国としての役割に気づかせる、後170年間、その役割を、果たし、何時の日か、世界に本当の平和が訪れるように導く重要な国なのだと、わたし達に気づかせ、これらの、「下品」、たちには二度と国を誤らせない…その為に死んでくれたんだと私は思う。
たった2日間で51兆円も失わせたのは、原発の報告、その結果としての報道の仕方…。

地震の事は、ＮＹの反応を、日経が日曜版でリポートしていたように、織り込み済みの事だった。
問題は、元々、チェルノブイリ等とは比較にならない（低いという意味での）…あのような石棺で覆う必要は全くない、と、あの石棺を作った本物の原子力学者であり技術者が言っていた程度の事故を、世界が破滅する、日本が汚染されるが如きな報道が為されてしまった事に在った。
誰が、そうさせたのか…間違いなく、現執行部の阿呆たち…私は、最初から怪訝に思っていたのだ…東京電力には、日本でも最優秀選手たち＝最優秀なエリートが集まっているはずなのだがな、と。
あの、ウマシカが、私ですら、揺れの直後から感じた未曾有の予感…しかも50分後には、全国民がＮＨＫのライブ映像で目の当たりにしたcatastrophe.
なのに、この男は、当日、何も決定しなかっただけではなしに、翌日、テレビの視線を意識してきただけの頭であることを、私の様な眼をした者達には、ありありと再認識させた愚かしさで、ほぼ一日の貴重な時間を空費させた。
それだけではなしに、東京電力に対して、この緊急の時に要らざる報告を義務付けた…
視察に行った事自体が不要・無用の圧力と成って、問題解決、不足燃料の調達等の作業を大幅に遅らせたはずだ…
結果、東電の説明も、遅れてしまう後手、後手、ゴタゴタしたものになり、…決定的にしたのが、あの原子力保安院なる者たちの、さっぱり要領を得ない記者会見。
そして何の役にも立たなかった事にも気づかず、…自分達の格好のアピールの場とばかりに、…原子力関連の事故が起きているというのに…最後に、大岡裁きでもしているかの如くに、首相やら、官房長官が登場する…
彼らは本当にテレビで政治をやってきただけの人間なんだと、今回、私はつくづく思った。
あんな事をしている暇に、今頃に為している事…津波で最初から非常用電源に使う重油タンクは流されていたのだから…を、為しているべきだったのだ。
あのウマシカの、テレビを意識しての、阿呆な視察＝阿呆な人気取り、これ幸いの起死回生のチャンスが見え見えの…なんぞのために時間を割いている暇に。
そうすれば、全てが合点が行くのである…東電は、木川田一隆の昔から、日本の超エリート集団だったのだから。…
ウマ・シカなんぞよりは、余程頭の良い人間たちの集団なのだから。…
こんなに、後手、後手、ゴタゴタする事ははなかったはずだと、私は思う。

I wrote that South Korea’s GDP should be about 100 trillion yen, but when converted at the current yen-dollar rate, it is about 81 trillion yen.
In other words, this present government wiped out in just two days an amount equal to 62 percent of South Korea’s GDP.
Is that not a story of astonishing stupidity?…
A leadership that was originally in a situation in which it should have resigned immediately, and which now seems to have been saved by this great disaster, cannot possibly save or protect a country.
That is why, in the end, I will never forgive those who created such an executive leadership, and I believe that this upheaval of heaven and earth existed in order to blow away all the sanctimonious falsehoods that had run rampant in our country for more than twenty years.
Just like the roughly four million people who died some sixty-odd years ago, the deaths of those who died this time…including my own mother among them…are, just like those deaths sixty-odd years ago, by no means meaningless deaths.
This time, dyed in the “vulgarity” of foolish mass media, those who followed it, and the incurable idiotic television, we are being made to realize the role of our own country…the role of a nation toward which “The Turntable of Civilization” has turned, a vital nation that must fulfill that role for the next 170 years and guide the world so that true peace may one day come.
I believe they died in order to make us realize that, and so that these “vulgar” people may never again lead the country astray.
What caused the loss of as much as 51 trillion yen in only two days was the reporting on the nuclear plant, and the manner of reporting that resulted from it….

As the Nikkei reported in its Sunday edition about the reaction in New York, the earthquake itself had already been priced in.
The problem lay in the fact that an accident which, from the beginning, was on an entirely different and far lower level than Chernobyl…an accident that, as even the genuine nuclear scientist and engineer who built that sarcophagus said, had absolutely no need to be covered by such a stone coffin…was reported as though the world would be destroyed and Japan would be contaminated.
Who made that happen?…
Without doubt, the fools in the present executive leadership…
From the very beginning, I had found it puzzling…
I thought that Tokyo Electric Power Company should have had gathered within it Japan’s very best players＝the finest elite.
And yet that fool, despite the unprecedented foreboding that even I felt immediately after the shaking…despite the catastrophe that the entire nation saw with its own eyes on NHK’s live footage just fifty minutes later.
Even so, not only did this man decide nothing on that day, but on the following day, by his stupidity, which made those with eyes like mine vividly recognize all over again that he was nothing more than a mind conscious only of the television gaze, he wasted nearly an entire day of precious time.
Not only that, but he imposed unnecessary reporting obligations on TEPCO at this time of emergency…
The very act of going on that inspection itself must have become needless and useless pressure, greatly delaying the work of solving the problem and procuring the necessary fuel.
As a result, TEPCO’s explanations too became belated, confused, and constantly behind the situation…and what made it decisive were the utterly incoherent press conferences by those people of the Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency.
And without even realizing how useless all of it was, as though it were the perfect occasion for their own self-presentation…even while a nuclear-related accident was occurring…at the end, the prime minister and the chief cabinet secretary would appear as if they were presiding over some grand judicial drama.
This time I truly felt, from the bottom of my heart, that they were people who had done politics only through television.
Instead of wasting time on such things, they should have been doing what they are only now doing…because from the very beginning the fuel oil tanks used for emergency power had been swept away by the tsunami.
Instead of spending time on that fool’s television-conscious idiotic inspection＝that idiotic act of popularity-seeking, with the visible hope of a lucky chance for a dramatic comeback.
If that had been so, everything would make sense…because TEPCO had, since the days of Ichiro Kikkawa, been one of Japan’s super-elite groups.…
It was a group of people far more intelligent than fools and simpletons like that.…
I think it should never have become such a belated, confused, and disorderly affair.
