The Chinese Communist Party’s Secret Stockpiling Operation: “Send Masks and PPE Back to the Motherland”
Based on an investigative report from Canada, this article records how the Chinese Communist Party allegedly mobilized overseas Chinese communities and consulates to purchase N95 masks and PPE worldwide and send them back to China. It reveals how this secret stockpiling operation contributed to shortages and soaring prices of medical supplies around the world.

The stockpiling operation was top secret.
If the world learned of China’s large-scale stockpiling, not only would the abnormal situation unfolding in China be exposed, but the prices of masks and PPE would also soar.
The following is a continuation of the previous chapter.
“Send them back to the motherland at once!”
How systematically had the Chinese Communist Party moved to stockpile these supplies?
Let us take the example of Canada, where many immigrants from China’s Fujian Province live.
On April 30, Global News, one of Canada’s leading media outlets, published a lengthy investigative report online exposing the stockpiling operation.
It was as follows.
〈In mid-January, the Chinese consulates in Canada issued an urgent directive.
“The novel coronavirus that emerged in Wuhan is extremely dangerous and highly contagious.
As a result, nurses and doctors have used up their protective supplies.
They need medical N95 masks and protective clothing, namely PPE.
Buy them up immediately and send them back to the motherland,” it said.
Immediately, a “great stockpiling operation” began, mobilizing Chinese residents in Canada.
The command centers were the Chinese consulates in Vancouver, Toronto, and Montreal.
They coordinated with the “United Front Work Department,” or UFWD, in China, and instructed Chinese communities to “buy up as many N95 masks and PPE as possible.”
The UFWD is a government organization directly connected to President Xi Jinping.
On March 2, the state-run Xinhua News Agency reported on their strenuous efforts.
“All overseas Chinese are warriors.
A sinister epidemic suddenly arrived.
But medical staff on the front lines, party members, and Chinese people from Fujian Province are playing an active role.
Day and night, they are rushing around the world, competing to send medical supplies back to the motherland.”
It was written in a tone that truly recalled wartime.
One of the persons in charge who received the directive visited China just before the annual January banquet was to be held.
As soon as he saw the reality that medical supplies were exhausted, he flew back to Toronto and ordered his subordinates:
“Buy up PPE by the package, right now!”
Similar operations were carried out in Melbourne, Australia, and in Tokyo as well.
The CCP had instructed Chinese people all over the world to “buy N95 masks and PPE in bulk and send them back to the motherland.”
Within six weeks of the directive being issued, China had gathered more than two billion masks and 2.5 billion sets of protective equipment from around the world.
The stockpiling operation was top secret.
If the world learned of China’s large-scale stockpiling, not only would the abnormal situation unfolding in China be exposed, but the prices of masks and PPE would also soar.
To avoid price increases, secrecy was absolutely essential.
Even so, some military and intelligence officials had grasped the maneuvering.
Among the Chinese people involved were persons of concern who had previously been questioned or placed under surveillance by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, the RCMP, and the Canadian Security Intelligence Service, the CSIS.
As the infection spread across the world, countries began desperately searching for masks and PPE.
As a result, by April, PPE prices had jumped by as much as 1,000 percent compared with January.〉
