To Black Americans: You Are Directing Your Rage at the Wrong Target

Reflecting on reports of riots in the United States, this article argues that Black Americans have embodied the American Dream in countless fields, especially music and sports, and that the true source of today’s global division is the Wuhan virus and the Chinese Communist Party’s one-party dictatorship. Through a personal memory of listening to Otis Redding’s “White Christmas” in Kyoto, it asks where anger should truly be directed.

Is America such a miserable country?
Is America not, on the contrary, the land of the American Dream?
The truth must be that there are countless Black people who have embodied the American Dream in every conceivable field.
To begin with… this article is a rough draft, a memorandum.
To Black Americans.
Is your country a country where bottomless evil and plausible lies are joined by the evil of a one-party Communist dictatorship, where there is no freedom of speech and no freedom of religion,
where, out of a nominal population of 1.3 billion, 900 million people are rural household-registration people who are not granted household registration as urban residents, working for low wages in poor living environments, in reality migrant workers?
Is America such a miserable country?
Is America not, on the contrary, the land of the American Dream?
The truth must be that there are countless Black people who have embodied the American Dream in every conceivable field.
One may even say that the American Dream is another name for American-style capitalism.
But surely it is the most splendid thing in history.
Globalism is what enabled some white people to obtain enormous wealth that one human being could never use up no matter how many times he were reborn, by exploiting the cheap labor of China’s 900 million rural household-registration people, whom it would not be an exaggeration to call labor slaves.
That capitalism is inevitably accompanied by losers is surely an everyday reality known to all Americans.
Just as there is a poor Black class, there is also a poor white class.
Which side is poorer is probably much the same.
But do you not have many people of overwhelmingly tremendous ability?
Especially in the world of music… it is no exaggeration at all to say that it is a market dominated by Black people.
In the world of sports, track and field is the foremost example, and in basketball, American football, and MLB, is America not the country where dazzlingly high-paid stars exist like glittering stars in the sky?
Japanese television media, beginning with NHK, are reporting scenes of your riots night after night, as if delighted that they can serve China.
America is divided, America is split, and it is Trump who created that division, so they say.
As you know, most of America’s major media continue their anti-Trump reporting… and many Japanese media outlets constantly repeat what they say.
What is dividing and splitting the world now is… a situation in which people must keep a distance of two meters from others.
Was it America that created the hardship that drove you to riots, after someone incited you on social media… and I suspect that it was precisely a Chinese intelligence agency?
Was it America that brought about the cause?
Surely not.
The name Wuhan virus makes that clear, does it not?
I spent 350 million yen over more than twenty years in order to sing accompanied by pianists.
Thanks to that, there was even a period when I was allowed to sing freely at The Ritz-Carlton Maui.
For someone like me, there was one supreme singer who sang songs that I could never sing unless I became a professional singer, after undergoing all the full-scale training.
His name was Otis Redding.
In 2011, I suffered from a grave illness, and doctors told me that my chance of survival was 25 percent.
I spent seven months fighting the disease.
Thanks to the doctors who had studied at Kyoto University’s Faculty of Medicine, I was completely cured.
From the following year, I walked around Kyoto almost every day.
The autumn leaves of Japan are the finest in the world.
Kyoto is the place where the essence of Japan’s natural beauty, the finest in the world, is gathered.
Among all its wonderful places, there was one place I especially loved.
It was the Kyoto Imperial Palace.
One autumn, the autumn leaves of the Kyoto Imperial Palace reached their peak.
I went to my favorite place, the place where the most beautiful autumn tree stood,
in order to listen to the music most fitting for that place, the greatest music that I wanted to hear precisely there.
Under that tree stood a married couple who appeared to be connected with a nearby university.
They were exactly like the couple on the LP jacket where John Lennon and Yoko Ono stand beneath a tree.
What I was listening to there, through SONY’s finest earphones in the world, was Otis Redding’s “White Christmas.”
Black Americans.
You are directing your riots at the wrong target.
The people you should be directing your riots against are surely the one-party Communist dictators of China who scattered the Wuhan virus across the world, and their blind followers.
It should not be America, the country you love.
It should not be America, the country where the countless talents you continue to produce are shining and active.
