China’s War for Global Hegemony: Wuhan Pneumonia, the WHO, Anti-Trump Propaganda, and the Crisis over Taiwan and the Senkaku Islands
Drawing on an essay by former Ambassador to Ukraine Mutsuo Mabuchi in WiLL magazine, this article examines China’s propaganda war over Wuhan pneumonia, its relationship with the WHO, attacks on the United States and President Trump, concerns over NHK reporting, and the growing crisis over Taiwan and the Senkaku Islands.

Because China failed to contain Wuhan pneumonia, it changed its strategy, spread Wuhan pneumonia throughout the world, and further intensified its propaganda war so that the world’s attention would shift away from China and toward each country being overwhelmed by infection prevention.
The monthly magazines I refer to are must-reading not only for the Japanese people, but for people all over the world.
After all, although they are filled with genuine articles like this one, they cost only 950 yen.
The following is from an essay by former Ambassador to Ukraine Mutsuo Mabuchi, published in this month’s issue of the monthly magazine WiLL under the title, “The World Has Begun to Turn the Rudder Away from China.”
Japan and the United States need to seek a new international order based on national-first principles.
China’s war for global hegemony.
In my previous column, I pointed out that, over the post-corona world order, the world has already begun to see the emergence of an intense three-way war, and this time, in response to that, I would like to describe that three-way war more concretely.
The three-way war is: first, China’s battle to seek global hegemony; second, the battle by the Deep State to seek world unification; and third, the battle by President Trump to seek a new world order based on national-first principles.
Judging from how each country has responded over the past month to the Wuhan pneumonia, that is, the novel coronavirus crisis, it can be said that this three-way war has finally begun to unfold in a visible form.
The first is China’s battle to seek global hegemony.
Because China failed to contain Wuhan pneumonia, it changed its strategy, spread Wuhan pneumonia throughout the world, and further intensified its propaganda war so that the world’s attention would shift away from China and toward each country being overwhelmed by infection prevention.
It has gone so far as to declare a posture of medical assistance toward infected countries, and even to work on parliaments and other bodies in various countries to have them pass resolutions of gratitude toward China.
The WHO is also participating in this propaganda war.
The WHO’s betrayal of the world has already become clear, but following the United States and European countries, Japan too has finally seized the opportunity of the WHO General Assembly and decided to demand that the WHO verify its initial response and other matters.
China has used the United Nations Security Council to demand that countries show support for the WHO, thereby making clear once again before the world the relationship between the culprit and the accomplice who spread Wuhan pneumonia throughout the world.
Around this time, NHK Watch 9 was repeatedly calling for international cooperation.
Among the people who belong to NHK’s news division, there should be almost no one who has not received guidance from China, or who has not fallen into China’s money traps or honey traps.
All of their expressions are strange and abnormal.
It is the same kind of manner I once felt and wrote about when the late Hirobumi Wakamiya appeared on TV Asahi’s Hodo Station.
It is no exaggeration at all to say that NHK’s news division is 100 percent under China’s influence; it is an outrageous organization.
The greatest target of China’s propaganda war is America, and especially President Trump.
China is accelerating confusion inside the United States by spreading disinformation that shifts responsibility for the outbreak of Wuhan pneumonia onto America, and by obstructing President Trump’s containment measures.
For China, weakened by the U.S.-China trade war, it is strengthening various operations in order somehow to prevent President Trump’s reelection.
That is because the more infections expand in America and the more the American economy worsens due to city lockdowns and other measures, the lower the possibility of Trump’s reelection becomes.
It is true that the Democratic Party is also taking a stern stance toward China, but if by any chance candidate Biden is elected president, it is certain that China will be able to catch its breath.
This is because Biden himself, when he was vice president, had an opaque relationship with China involving his son’s investment company, a fact that is well known, and China has Biden’s weakness in its hands.
China is being bashed from all over the world, and for that very reason, by concentrating its attack on the Trump administration, it is trying to escape.
As I have already described, the anti-Trump reporting on NHK’s 7 p.m. news the day before yesterday was terrible.
Last night, when the woman I had criticized had a strangely meek expression, I wondered whether my criticism had reached her.
However, they had done the same kind of thing for more than twenty minutes on a program from 6 p.m. on Sunday, and not only invited major criticism from various quarters, but also received a protest from the U.S. Embassy and apologized.
This probably means that divine punishment is beginning to fall upon the awfulness of their reporting.
Behind this lies a serious domestic situation.
Public dissatisfaction has risen over the enormous number of deaths caused by the initial concealment and over the economic slowdown caused by city lockdowns and other measures, and a red light has come on for the maintenance of power.
Xi Jinping has embarked on a dangerous plot that could be called a desperate gamble to divert the eyes of the Chinese people overseas.
Taking advantage of the fact that the countries of Europe and America cannot help but devote themselves to containing Wuhan pneumonia, it must be said that the possibility has grown that the Xi Jinping leadership will take such actions as a military invasion of Taiwan or the seizure of the Senkaku Islands.
