Although we are making every effort to send experts to the site, China is trying to conceal matters and is making the truth harder to see.

Need to clarify origin of novel coronavirus, says Secretary of State.
Washington, April 29, Reuters.
U.S. Secretary of State Pompeo said on the 29th that, regarding the origin of the novel coronavirus that has spread infection throughout the world, the U.S. government still has concerns about the virus research institute located in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China.
Regarding the origin of the new virus, SARS-CoV-2, U.S. President Trump stated on the 15th that the U.S. government was investigating whether there was a possibility that it had leaked from a virus research institute in Wuhan.
On the other hand, the Wuhan Institute of Virology, WIV, of the Chinese Academy of Sciences has denied as groundless the theory that the institute manufactured and leaked the new virus.
In an interview with FOX News, Secretary Pompeo said, “We had great concern about the Chinese laboratories,” and added, “The concern that the Chinese Communist Party has not disclosed information about what is taking place in laboratories inside the country has still not been dispelled.”
He then pointed out that the Chinese authorities still have not disclosed information about the virus and have not permitted inspections by American experts.
“Although we are making every effort to send experts to the site, China is trying to conceal matters and is making the truth harder to see.
This is the wrong attitude, and it has become a threat to the world.
We need to clarify what actually happened in Wuhan,” he said.
The Washington Post reported this month that, in a diplomatic cable in 2018, the U.S. State Department warned about vulnerabilities in the safety and operational systems of the Wuhan laboratory.
