“There is no registered Swiss citizen by his name and no biological paper in his name.”

The following is from an article in today’s Nihon Keizai Shimbun.
The article demonstrates that China and South Korea are “abysmal evil” and “plausible lies.”
It is no exaggeration to say that the Japanese media and so-called scholars who cannot understand why China is trying to hide the true identity of the Wuhan virus through various schemes like this have brains no better than elementary school children. The same is true in the world.
The “misinformation” fuss over the origin of the corona
Chinese Media Cites Scholar’s Post; Swiss Embassy Says No Such Person

A “misinformation” scare has arisen over the investigation into the origin of the new coronavirus.
Chinese official media quoted a Facebook post by a person claiming to be a Swiss biologist, accusing the United States of not abandoning the theory that the virus was “leaked” from a Chinese laboratory. Still, the Swiss Embassy in China denied the existence of the scientist.
The Swiss embassy in China has denied the scholar’s existence.
There is a lot of interest in who the post belongs to.
“The U.S. is trying to attack China over the origin of the new corona and is not paying attention to the (scientific) data. It’s politicizing a scientific issue.
Since late July, Xinhua News Agency, People’s Daily (electronic version), and other official media reflecting the Chinese government’s intentions have quoted and distributed comments under the name of Wilson Edwards, a Swiss biologist.
However, on August 10, the Swiss embassy said on Weibo, the Chinese version of Twitter, that the reports about Edwards were “false.”
“There is no registered Swiss citizen by his name and no biological paper in his name.”
The embassy asked the Chinese media to remove the article and correct it.
Some media outlets removed the article.
According to the Swiss Embassy, it only launched  Edwards’ page on Facebook on July 24.
There are only three registered “friends” on the page.
It is unclear who created the page.
In late May, U.S. President Biden ordered the intelligence community to investigate the virus’s origin, including the possibility that it was leaked from the Wuhan Institute of Virus Research at the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
For China, which denies that the virus was leaked, Edwards’ comments were an excellent opportunity to criticize the United States.
The virus was first confirmed to have spread in China, but the Chinese government is determined to avoid taking responsibility for the spread.
China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has long emphasized that the fact that the virus was first confirmed does not necessarily mean that it is the outbreak’s source.
Recently, China also argued that it should also investigate the U.S. laboratory.
