Peace Boat and Kiyomi Tsujimoto: The Corruption of the Democratic Party Administration in Politicizing Disaster Relief
Published on July 15, 2019.
This chapter begins with criticism of the Socialist Party and Kiyomi Tsujimoto during the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake, then discusses the Kan Cabinet’s appointment of Tsujimoto as an adviser in charge of volunteers after the Great East Japan Earthquake and suspicions surrounding relief supplies and Peace Boat.
From the perspective that disaster relief may have been used for political performance and left-wing activism, it criticizes the Democratic Party administration, Naoto Kan, Yukio Edano, Kiyomi Tsujimoto, Makoto Yuasa, and Peace Boat.

The rank-and-file members participating in Peace Boat do not know this.
It was something plotted only by those around Tsujimoto and Yuasa.
The following is a continuation of the previous chapter.
◆At the time of the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake, the Murayama Cabinet, because of its anti-Self-Defense Forces ideology, delayed the dispatch of the Self-Defense Forces to an irreparable degree and drove many people to their deaths.
Socialist Party Diet members hurled filthy jeers at a local Diet member who, while crying, requested the dispatch of the Self-Defense Forces in the Diet.
“Kiyomi Tsujimoto” and others, who entered the disaster area before the Self-Defense Forces, distributed neither relief supplies nor water to exhausted disaster victims, but instead handed out leaflets saying, “The Self-Defense Forces are unconstitutional.
Please do not receive food from the Self-Defense Forces.”
The leaflets also contained recipes for Korean home cooking.
With lifelines stopped and buildings collapsed, who could support Diet member Tsujimoto, who was engaging in political activity without carrying out rescue activity?
That “Kiyomi Tsujimoto” came to serve this time as an adviser in charge of volunteers for the Great East Japan Earthquake.
It was Edano’s strong recommendation that led to Tsujimoto being selected as the minister in charge of volunteers.
Prime Minister Kan greeted the cameras, saying, “I am going to inspect the site now,” and leisurely boarded a helicopter.
He instructed Secretary-General Okada, “Do not let anyone interfere!”
This was in order to demonstrate his own presence as a leader.
Then he appointed Kiyomi Tsujimoto as the minister in charge of volunteers and centralized relief supplies from all over the country under the NPO “Peace Boat,” which was under Kiyomi Tsujimoto.
This was in order to emphasize that the Democratic Party’s Kan Cabinet had displayed leadership in this great earthquake and had overcome it.
Of all people, to make Tsujimoto the adviser in charge shows that Kan apparently had no sense even for performance personnel appointments.
March 26, 2011.
Outrageous information has come in.
This is confirmed information obtained from multiple sources.
First, as a premise, it has already been reported that thirty elderly people in evacuation centers in various places died from freezing(strictly speaking, hypothermia)as a result of a shortage of fuel for stoves.
One piece of information is that, regarding trucks transporting relief supplies, town and village office staff who received contact from government sources are stopping them individually in various places.
They have not been told the reason, but each seems to have accepted that it was probably because of road conditions.
However, among them are areas where the roads have already been fully restored.
As a result, relief supplies that are not being distributed are piled up at several municipal collection sites.
Now, regarding Her Excellency Tsujimoto’s Peace Boat, it is now beginning to send out volunteers one after another from Tokyo.
And astonishingly, the destinations of those volunteers precisely overlap, pinpoint by pinpoint, with the very collection sites in question!
Judging comprehensively from the above information, it becomes clear that this stagnation of supplies is a self-staged drama designed to make Peace Boat appear as the savior of the disaster area.
The rank-and-file members participating in Peace Boat do not know this.
It was something plotted only by those around Tsujimoto and Yuasa.
The Democratic Party is trying to decorate its own performance by sacrificing the lives of disaster victims.
Needless to say, this is a measure for the postponed local elections in the affected areas, and for future left-wing movements.
Are they not rotten to the core?
