Nakanoshima Rose Garden, May 23, 2021 — Fading Roses and a Butterfly Sent to the World through Symphonic Music

On May 23, 2021, Nakanoshima Rose Garden had already passed its peak and was approaching the end of the rose season. A butterfly appeared before me, and many of the photographs were devoted to it. This visual poem brings together fading roses, waterside scenery, bridges, and the urban light of Osaka’s Nakanoshima with the music of Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, and Saint-Saëns.

May 23, 2021.
Nakanoshima Rose Garden.
On this day, the rose garden had already passed its peak and was approaching the end of its season.
Yet roses near the end have expressions that can be seen only at that particular moment.
And on this day, a butterfly appeared before me.
A considerable number of photographs were devoted to that butterfly.
Roses.
Butterflies.
The waterside.
Bridges.
Urban light.
The scenery of Osaka’s Nakanoshima.
All of them are brought together with the music of Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, and Saint-Saëns.
This is a visual poem sending the fading roses of Nakanoshima Rose Garden and the butterfly that appeared there to the world through symphonic music.
The music is from recordings available on YouTube.
Bach: Air from Orchestral Suite No. 3.
Mozart: Symphony No. 40, First Movement.
Beethoven: Symphony No. 5 “Fate,” Fourth Movement.
Saint-Saëns: Symphony No. 3 “Organ,” Second Movement.
