Japan’s Astronomical ODA to South Korea|The Aid South Korea Repays with Ingratitude, and the Japanese Politics and Media That Concealed It

Published on October 17, 2019.
This article lists the vast amount of Japanese ODA and infrastructure assistance provided to South Korea after the war, and criticizes the South Korean government for failing to inform its people of these facts.
It also criticizes Japanese politicians and major media outlets, especially the Asahi Shimbun, for not informing the Japanese people.
The article examines the hidden history behind slogans such as Japan–South Korea friendship and future-oriented relations, and condemns South Korea’s continued ingratitude toward Japan.

This is a chapter originally sent out on August 13, 2019, under the title:
If these astronomical sums of aid to China and South Korea had been devoted to strengthening Japan’s national land, not a single Japanese citizen would have had to die in disasters.
At the same time, I am republishing the chapter sent out on August 14, 2019, under the title:
I am also astonished by the ingratitude of Koreans, who continue to repay this much kindness with hostility.

The chapter sent out on November 3, 2018, under the title,
The South Korean government, exactly like the Chinese government, has not informed its people of this obvious fact at all, so almost all of its citizens must be completely unaware of it,
entered yesterday’s top 50 search rankings.
I am reposting the chapter sent out on July 25, 2018.
The South Korean government, exactly like the Chinese government, has not informed its people of this obvious fact at all, so almost all of its citizens must be completely unaware of it.
Above all, even I, a Japanese citizen, knew absolutely nothing about it until I discovered this article on the Internet, so the vast majority of Japanese people must not have known it either.
In such a situation, how on earth could politicians and the mass media, led by the Asahi Shimbun, have continued to talk about Japan–China friendship and future-oriented Japan–South Korea relations?
Because I subscribed to and carefully read the Asahi Shimbun for a very long time until August four years ago, I can state this categorically:
I never once read this article in the pages of the Asahi, nor did I ever see it on NHK, let alone on the commercial broadcasters that are its subsidiaries.
What I did see, to the point of disgust, was only the theory that Japan was evil and that the Japanese military was evil.
When seeing this fact, one should not merely be astonished.
There must be countless Japanese who would want to throw the words of Jiro Yamaguchi, one of their representative players, “I will cut them down,” precisely at the stupidity of the Japanese politicians who continued to provide such vast amounts of aid, and at the Asahi Shimbun and others, the so-called human-rights lawyers, and the so-called scholars who drove them in that direction.
At the same time, I am astonished by the ingratitude of Koreans, who continue to repay this much kindness with hostility.
Recently, when I sent out the words of a great man produced by Okinawa in the Meiji era, I believe that the great predecessor Iha pointed out “ingratitude” as one of the defects of Okinawans.
The people of Okinawa should make absolutely sure that they never become human beings on the same level as the Koreans described below.
After all, Okinawa has continued to receive the largest amount of local allocation tax among Japan’s 47 prefectures.
If these astronomical sums of aid to China and South Korea had been devoted to strengthening Japan’s national land, not a single Japanese citizen would have had to die in disasters.
The people of Okinawa should once sit in deep thought and realize that the same thing can be said of them as well.
