China Is the World’s Largest Emitter of Global Warming Gases — The Truth the UN, COP25, Asahi, and NHK Refuse to Tell
Based on the air pollution map as of January 10, 2020, this article argues that the sharp decline in China’s air pollution levels and global warming gas emissions compared with the years before 2018 was not due to renewable energy, but to the operation of cutting-edge nuclear power plants and the closure of poor-quality coal-fired power plants. It criticizes the hypocrisy of the UN, COP25, Greta Thunberg, the Asahi Shimbun, and NHK for failing to name China’s responsibility while blaming Japan.

Even so, compared with the more than twenty years up to 2018, China’s air pollution levels — that is, its global warming gas emissions — have sharply fallen to one-fifth.
The following is the air pollution map as of 9:00 a.m. now — in other words, the map of countries emitting global warming gases.
Even so, compared with the more than twenty years up to 2018, China’s air pollution levels — that is, its global warming gas emissions — have sharply fallen to one-fifth.
The reason is not at all that renewable energy such as solar power has increased.
It is because, in the first half of 2019, the latest French-type and Japanese-American-type nuclear power plants were completed and began operation, and as a result, the share of nuclear power in total electricity generation rose by several tens of percent — and because the closure of poor-quality coal-fired power plants advanced.
Yet even now, China remains the overwhelming major emitter of global warming gases, possessing more than 1,200 coal-fired power plants, many of them with poor-quality equipment, while the country in second place has only 200.
This is not something that began yesterday or today.
It has been the case continuously for more than twenty years.
Yet the United Nations, COP25, and Greta Thunberg have, for some reason, never uttered China’s name even once.
The same is true of Japan’s Asahi Shimbun and NHK.
And yet they talk about a crisis of the Earth and a crisis of humanity, and in the end even claim that Japan is the culprit.
